Parents being so involved in their children's sport is truly leading to the problems we see in professional sport now-a-days.

My biggest recreational passions in life are scuba diving and umpiring baseball. Over the last 12 years I have seen parents who believe that their little Johnny is going to be the next Randy Johnson and the kid couldn't hit the plate if it was 3 feet wide. I have experience this at the OBA level and also doing higher level American Legion games.

My advice to parents is to allow their child to play the game and have fun. This need to be the best is just a load of crap

Clearly the Steven boy had over 40 goals & the named winner only had 21. Isn't this unjust?????

It's the Most Valuable Player award, not the Forward with Most Points and Assists award.
There are other factors, like whether the player is a whiny biatch or a team player.
