You guys are hilarious with your never ending circle jerking. Do any of you actually know someone that had a serious and life threatening reaction to the vaccine? I am talking about someone you actually know personally - as in face-to-face?? You all think you know better because you think you read a more reputable article from a more reputable source, dismissing others because your news source is "better". The truth is, you know shit; that is, until you actually know someone personally that had a life threatening reaction that ended with them being in the ICU or worse.

Having said that, can you be more specific.

A proper vaccine does prevent you from catching the disease. It is not guaranteed to be 100% but the effectiveness percentage is very high. This is why the concept of herd immunity works. With a large majority not catching/transmitting the disease, those who are not vaccinated have a much lower chance of being exposed to the disease. The polio vaccine is a good example.

I just realized that I failed to differentiate between exposure to the pathogen and subsequent asymptomatic resolution and developing the actual disease and it being fought off, even with minor symptoms as it does with COVID. Am I understanding it correctly now?

Immunological and Antigenic Signatures Associated with Chronic Illnesses after COVID-19 Vaccination

SUMMARY
COVID-19 vaccines have prevented millions of COVID-19 deaths. Yet, a small fraction of the population reports a chronic debilitating condition after COVID-19 vaccination, often referred to as post-vaccination syndrome (PVS). To explore potential pathobiological features associated with PVS, we conducted a decentralized, cross-sectional study involving 42 PVS participants and 22 healthy controls enrolled in the Yale LISTEN study. Compared with controls, PVS participants exhibited differences in immune profiles, including reduced circulating memory and effector CD4 T cells (type 1 and type 2) and an increase in TNFα+ CD8 T cells. PVS participants also had lower anti-spike antibody titers, primarily due to fewer vaccine doses. Serological evidence of recent Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation was observed more frequently in PVS participants. Further, individuals with PVS exhibited elevated levels of circulating spike protein compared to healthy controls. These findings reveal potential immune differences in individuals with PVS that merit further investigation to better understand this condition and inform future research into diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

I did not get the vaccine. Not once have I gotten covid.

That you know of ….. if you haven’t felt inclined to test. Men are also less likely to see out health care according to stats. And if you don’t have anyone in your life encouraging you to (wife) then youre even less likely to. I doubt you have Covid tests hanging around if you don’t believe in it

That is only because you have not been exposed to the virus. Or not long enough in a sufficient dosage.

Vaccines do not stop you from catching any disease. None. Vaccines only prepare your immune system to fight the particular bacteria/virus/pathogen if you become infected with it.

Government really did fuck up a lot in how they handled the pandemic, and continue to do so IMO.

Take masks for instance.

It only makes sense to anyone that some sort of mechanical filtration would both reduce the amount of aerosolized viruses exhaled by someone infected, and reduce the amount inhaled by the next guy.

And there is, and never was ANY doubt whatsoever that ANY SARS or other RESPIRATORY VIRAL INFECTIONS were not airborne and transmitted through breathing. NONE.

Therefore, filtration and dilution (through being outdoors for example) would reduce transmission.

Yet, at the earliest stages of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci himself an infectious disease expert not only said that masking was not effective, he said that it could be dangerous! And to give people something to do to feel they had some sort of control over their own lives, told every to wash their hands for as long as it took to sing Happy Birthday! FFS

All the while, working behind the scenes with government to procure and go on a wartime footing to produce masks.

I get it. He had good intentions. He lied for an ostensibly good reason to prevent a rush on masks so that health care providers could be protected to help protect society as a whole.

But, it was a lie that undermined pubic trust in an already skeptical US population.

So I can see why distrust got a better foothold.

Same with selling the vaccine on the basis of not "catching" or spreading COVID.

Having said that, the pre-omicron strains were less contagious and being vaccinated seemed to reduce the transmission and the getting sick part to the level that you might not even show symptoms.


While I had no side effects, I suppose my DNA is forever damaged by getting 3 jabs of Moderna! I got Covid last May and it hit me like a ton of bricks but the hard hit was only for a few days. Worst "flu" I've ever felt. But I can get my fourth "jab" in another 2 months and already have it in my Calendar.

Full dislosure. I have taken every vaccine I have been able to get my hands on all my life. Personally experienced no side effects from any. Also never got any of the diseases and especially hope to not get shingles when I get into the higher risk age group for it. (I got the original Shingles (live-attenuated virus vaccine) when I turned 40 as a 45 year old friend had experienced shingles and said it was fucking excruciating. I also got the latest Shingrix vax before I qualified age-wise too.

Anyways, it's just a thought!
