Craigslist - Casual Encounters

Not sure if this has been discussed in TERB before, but has anyone here had any results (good or bad) from Craigslist casual encounter ads?

In general, CL doesn't seem to be very well regarded here and I'm just interested in other's feedback on the casual encounters ads. I have to admit that I responded to several of these ads (prior to reading TERB regularly) and have never had a sniff. I'm guessing that some of these ads are scams (webcam pay sites, dating sites etc). Or if they are legit, the advertiser gets bombarded with replies which makes the odds of success pretty low. Or my response isn't very appealing

I'm pretty sure what to expect but any thoughts?

From my experience, both Craigslist and plenty of fish are a waste of time. I'm sure some terbites will disagree with me, but thats my opinion.

Diamond in the rough here and there, but probably 95% a waste of time. The ones that ARE real get bombarded, so..

Casual Encounters? Waste of time.

Erotic services? A bit better, but still rather hit or miss.

As others have said, the real ones get a ton of replies (just put up a fake ad and see what kind of mail you get) and the rest are affiliate links for webcam sites.

You have to be very willing to put in a lot of time and have a good picture to get anywhere.

I've actually met 3 women from the platonic section, and ended up sleeping with them. The trick is, my postings (or theirs, if I replied to it) were actually platonic. We just hit it off after we met and things developed.

There's really no way to duplicate that though.....the fake platonic ads stick out.
