performance?

What ever happened to the days when performance was actuall that. A detroit powered 426 hemi engine on a roadrunner body, with a full bower. a far cry from todays idea of performance, wouldn't ya say?

cant disagree with you sheik.....

But actually i was refering to a normal roadrunner with a 426 hemi and a full blower, you remember the purple roadrunners dont you??
in any case that one on the fast and the furious, yeah, thats a REAL machine, with real steel, AND A REAL FRIGGIN MUFFLER SYSTEM TOO!
the guys who think they are so hot in this little souped up rice burners, they kill me. The best part about is, even with any kinda real horse power, these guys are a joke. Maybe they should spend their money better elsewhere, like driving classes!

Times never change, just kids

We all had our days when we used the vehicle that we were driving as a way to express our personal character. However we were copycats back in the 50s, 60s, &70s as well. We customized our cars to look like others we had seen on the street, magazines, and movies. Just as we snicker at the modified rice burners now, I am sure that our elders felt that way about us.

Although I am very concerned how they drive with weaving in & out traffic, quick stops, and all. I see more of this in Canada than the US.

I totally agree. We should be focusing on what matters, the dangerous driving.
