I haven't insinuated it was anything more than an accident, due to reported non compliance. I don't think anything was done on purpose. I do however suspect negligence. And a cover up to stop the public from knowing.

That is where Fauci comes in, both in allowing the lab to recieve funding anyway, and then covering up his own non compliance. His job wasn't just to approve grants but to ensure the safety of sponsored labs. That is his failure.

If it had been a Trump appointee my opinion would be exactly the same. Would yours?

And Trump approved operation warp speed. Beyond that it was in fact up to the Governors of states to regulate covid policy at the local level. And I happily say the idiot GOP governors caused deaths.
It's a witchhunt for Fauci. Based on his expert opinion, Fauci acted in the population's best interest. You on the other hand want to go on a tangent to paint him in bad light because it suits your cult leader's narrative.

In policy sure. But not in figuring out the origin. You need to separate out the two. One is dealing with the effects of the pandemic, the other is enforcing policy to prevent it.

Whether or not it was the cause Fauci allowed the lab to continue to be funded for years despite non compliance reporting. He didn't do his job.

Again, these are just your assumptions based on the right wing's push to go after Fauci. Yet by your own admission, you followed his instructions to a tee. Hmmmmm

Yes, again, covid reaction policy has nothing to do with this. It's what happened BEFORE the outbreak that mattered.

Why can't you separate the two ideas? He didn't do his job when the lab was inspected and the reports stated over a two year period that they were hiring unqualified personal and safety procedures required for a high level, gain of function lab were not being followed. Yet he continued to approve funding to the lab.

That's negligence.

Reading is your best defense against spouting off nonsense and bullshit you pull out of your ass or read it in a right-wing echo chamber

Yes. Is it worth a career?
As I said before, anyone in the scientific community is salivating at the chance to show the prevailing theories are wrong. But that takes evidence. It's far easier to just pretend the lack of evidence is somehow proof that there's evidence.

Funny, I thought that's what I was doing.
You have a very unscientific definition of evidence. All you are doing is claiming that people can't be trusted (unless they say something that fits your preconceptions).

I clearly showed the lab was inspected by the US govt and found to be non compliant in following proper procedures and hiring qualified personnel. In 2017 and 2018. They lied about having a lab filled with bats for study. Refused to allow inspectors in. Destroyed evidence, removed employees, and stonewalled.

So ya, kinda makes someone wonder when then spend so much time and effort to hide things what it is they are hiding. And when Fauci takes their side, well what is he hiding?

Pay wall.

And again, a simple question. Why did he do nothing?
All you have to do is enter your email to avoid the pay wall but then you will be fact-checked and will have to spin and deflect because it doesn't fit your nonsensical spamming.

Ask him, call him and say "Hi I'm Butler and I believe along with my magabase fanatics that you sir did nothing, why?" and see what he says. At least if you get an answer you won't have to post bullshit and nonsense, it will be first-hand information.

See above, you are posting things for me to prove my point.

Do you think that somehow proves COVID was leaked from the lab?

They lied about having a lab filled with bats for study. Refused to allow inspectors in. Destroyed evidence, removed employees, and stonewalled.
...
China's government has always refused to allow outside inspectors. Might have something to do with the Western Impositions during the fall of the Qing combined with the culture of saving face. Again, that is not proof. What you do is raise QUESTIONS. Questions are not answers and are not evidence. We should be (and scientists are) searching for answers to those questions but what you are arguing is essentially the "god of the gaps" fallacy.
