The vaccines are only a temporary treatment not a long term solution.

Well then, I think it's time to lock things down since the 2 folks in here refuse to get jabbed and insist it doesn't work. Time to lock it up again! A major lockdown that would make Australia proud.

Yes. The long term solution is everyone whose body can't handle covid dies.

Once we get rid of a few million weaklings, we'll have nothing more to worry about.

The Black Plague wasn't a problem either -- once 50-70% of the population was wiped out, it just disappeared by itself. Sounds like a plan!

This has nothing to do with the article.
We are talking about the attitude on display here.

Lol...so what's the double jab for? Only way to solve this is get the jabs, social distance, wash your hands wear your mask....unless you're going to see your ATF...

I bet all them thought they were properly vaccinated but in reality, like most here, were not.
Patients of Dr. Trudeau.
Mixing vaccines, and second doses of the same even were months after manufacturers recommendations when their age group was called to roll up their sleeves.

I'm not surprised at all of this break threw group infection.
Maybe they are doing a fine job and you should be thanking Justin

So far this is an isolated incident as there are hundreds of similar groups playing all the time now.

Since 99% of people infected with Covid recover without much problems, even those in their 50s, what difference does it make? ...
The numbers sure seem to say so.

The fools that are missing things are the ones that think any vaccine gives 100% protection. That goes for both the people who think the vaccine makes them invincible and those pretending it is useless because it isn't perfect.

Elderly guys playing hockey indoors without masks (in cold air which we know allows more respiratory transmission) obviously isn't the best idea but anyone who tries to claim that vaccines aren't providing a benefit is clearly full of shit. Vaccine mandates and passports aren't the problem, it is the inconsistent political decisions determining where they need to be implemented. As I said in one of these threads, the fact that a 5 minute lunch at timmies requires vaccination but high school kids can spend an hour unmasked, eating lunch in a school cafeteria without it is just one flagrant example of politics and expediency being used instead of the actual data.

This news validates a much larger point, one that all vaccine believers seem to miss, namely that the mandates, passports are fool's errand simply because of the vaccine 's diminishing efficacy that forces people into the false sense of security.
The only points to validate are that you are selfish and it's all about you and you not getting vaccinated because you are scared of a little needle.

I agree that so much of the official response is theater. And that going unmasked in a restaurant is sort of pretending the virus can read some sort of legal requirement that it only infect people in certain regions at certain times. The times where our guard drops is a balancing act between, as you point out, politics and expediency. But humans are human, and can only take so much. It's hard to completely eliminate public dining or human contact for extended periods.

But fighting against vaccination is silliness. That's where politics gets to be a problem. You can't physically eat while wearing a mask, but only stubbornness makes it difficult to get vaccinated.

The very real adverse effects and the zero long term data for a virus that the overwhelming majority get over on their own? Plus the “vaccine” doesn’t work?

There’s no reason to take this shot. Trudeau, Tam, Ford and the Jabroni brothers on this board saying “the benefits outweigh the risks” is just not accurate.

Those people don’t get to decide my risk. That’s my decision.

Vaccine passports, threat of job loss, etc, is coercion. Period.

Now they’re pushing boosters, targeting 5 year olds and locking everything down again anyway in western Canada.

The government are little more than vax pushers at this point. Drug dealers. Criminals.

The line is very clear. Everyone has already picked their side. I’m confident that I’m on the right one, and in time will be vindicated.

Nobody EVER forgets Nazis though.

Everyone will be held to account eventually.
I don't think it's any planned evil, it just turned out that way. The "experts" tend to get personally wrapped up in their advice and the prospects of "losing face" keep exacerbating the problems. For example, right now, all the at risk people who were jabbed in May/June should be getting their booster shots- to avoid problems like those hockey seniors. What are we doing instead? We are enforcing (temporary) passports/mandates, pushing children vaccinations and distributing rapid tests to elementary and high school students. Madness.

We’re seeing a lot of infections among work colleagues, and none of it so far is being transmitted by adults in a fully-vaccinated workplace, with masking, social distancing and proficient sanitizing in effect.

Without exception, it’s coming into our workplace by workers infected from their kids or some other risky vector, and 50+ men’s league hockey seems about right as an example.

As an active and pervasive infection, it’s still causing lost time, massive sick day payouts and lingering negative health effects, but very few of the 84% of people fully-vaccinated are dying.

The only people stupidest to believe that the vaccines either work at 100% efficacy, or not at all, aren’t worth the type-space. Our special education system clearly failed these people, but I don’t have a ton of sympathy.

To think that you’re somehow fully immune after immunization (or past infection) given what we’ve known about Delta for the better part of 10-months, is truly delusional thinking.

The fact that in this outbreak only one person died is evidence that the vaccines work, and precautions are still needed, despite what YRPH or Ford says.
