Sounds like we need immigrants more badly than some other countries
with older population.
We can only help ourselves and cannot do anything about countries that refuse to deal with their problems.
It also could be that governments of many of world's countries (including Carney's Canada)
have to deal with many problems other than keeping up with bringing in more migrants.
Demographic decline isn't an isolated problem and countries have to deal with all problems simultaneously.
I guess that explains why Carney has to reduce the volume of immigration from
previous years.

Yes, we can increase or reduce per our needs, capabilities as long as it is a net positive, which it is.
