Fucking asshole :mad::mad: Just raising his hand on the woman is assault in my opinion. Don't matter if he slapped her hand, her phone or her face.

I didn't say it was ok but it just looked like he slapped the phone. Lots of money in construction and when things don't go right tempers flare.
What does any of that have to do with his behaviour???? You seem to just be making excuses for this guy.

She could have damaged the countertop, on purpose, and called him all the names in the book, he has no right to assault her. Which slapping a phone out of someone’s hand is assault. Could have been another guy and not a woman, he has no right to assault him either.

No I'm in the industry and understand how things go, I'm not making excuses for him and don't condone his behaviour.

Plus the video posted only shows part of the conversation which no doubt was intentional. She may have acted carelessly, or even intentionally caused the alleged damage and called him a gringo. We just don't know the full story.
Even if that were the case, it's no way to react. It's unprofessional at the very least, and criminal at worst.

Your first sentence doesn’t seem to show what you say in your second sentence.

Explain what you know in the industry that things go like this? Assault is a common thing on the job site?

Sorry but I am confused how you are condemning the behaviour I guess. The “I don’t condone it, but understand it” argument usually means deep down you don’t really care about the negative behaviour exhibited at all.

If she damaged the countertop, which accidents happen, it should have simply been docked from her pay. That should have been the professional resolution.

He slapped the phone in her hand by the looks of it. That kind of behaviour was typical a few years ago in the industry. To be honest if that happened today I probably wouldn't even think it was out of the ordinary. Your not suppose to be on the phone on company time and it's not a office environment.
So it was her fault?

Botttom line is that the guy was an asshole, regardless of what happened.

EVEN if she scratched the counterop, and it was her fault, so what? Shit happens all the time. Contractors of all people should know that. Equipment goes missing or damaged while trying to do work, it's the nature of the job. It's called being human, we all fuck up. I bet you that he himself fucked up ten times worse on the job many times. It's part of the job, deal with it, and move on. Don't be a bully and yell and curse at someone just becuase you can.

And he may have not slapped her face, but he intimidated her by slapping her hand/phone, and that in and of itself is an assault.
