I like raw statistics like Canadian Federal employment which has expanded dramatically under Trudeau. It's hard to spin Trudeau's priorities to mean something else. Federal employment went 39% (257,034 in 2015 to 357,247 in 2023). Canada's population has only expanded about 13% over that period. Trudeau has roughly two more years to add to the ranks of the Federal government.

Yep I came across this recently, 100,000 net new Federal government workers since Trudeau came into office. I also ran across stats per capita: 720 Fed employees per 100,000 population in 2015 ----> almost 900 as of 2023. Astonishing!
And I could be wrong but I don't think these #'s include many agencies, boards, special programs and Crown Corps that fall under the Feds umbrella.
Based on this thread, comparing the two isn't the topic.
