So Black's sentencing date isn't until Nov 30.
He's been free on 21 million bond during the trial. Government wanted him remanded to custody after the verdict today. Judge said no, but another bail hearing is set up for Thursday July 19. At that hearing his new bail amount/terms will be discussed - the bail decided at the hearing is what would keep him out of jail from July 19 till November 30...or not. I can't see them making him stay in custody prior to sentencing - his crime wasn't violent and he has lots of money for high bail.
If he skips town this week to parts unknown he'd forfeit his 21 million bond.
Funny part was the prosecution thinks he might flee to Toronto, as if we're a haven for int'l fugutives. So until the bail hearing on July 19 he has to stay in the Chicago area and not flee to Canada, plus give the court his passport.
