At long last, the big day is tomorrow. For those who don't remember, they finally nailed him no obstruction of justice, for carting off a box of documents from his office, and fraud.

He remains quite adament that he has done nothing wrong, and claims jail will be "prison would be a bore but quite endurable.”

On the other hand, “He's someone who has certain psychological vulnerabilities. He's also a very self-involved person and a very narcissistic person,” Mr. Tombs said.

“People like that can block out the rest of the world for a while but when they are fenced in in a prison, it's going to be hard for him to maintain that kind of bubble.”

“The reality check is going to be other people showing him that he's no better than they are, he's a convict just like them.”

It will be interesting to see what kind of time he actually serves.

Yes, he has been found guilty in US court, but he is not a Canadian, he is citizen of the UK. He renounced his Canadian citizenship because Cretien would not okay his appointment to the to the British House of Lords.

And I believe he is not in jail, but free until he is sentenced tomorrow. His passport has been forfeited and he is allowed to travel only between Chicago and Palm Beach where he owns a home. He is not allowed to travel to Toronto where he owns a home.

If he gets 5 years time served, I will be happy. And I suspect he won't leave prison as arrogantly as he enters it.

You are right, thats why hes Sir Black, getting old stinks. I do recall now when that happen, just forgot that part.

You are right about bail too, he better stop joking about it being no big deal. Sounds like hes not sorry either. Judges don't like that.

Lord Black of Crossharbour, actually. Sir is the title of a knight, which belongs to the British landed gentry. This is considered to be a lesser nobility than a lord or baron, which are hereditary peerages with coats of arms. :)

Hmm, you know when Bushie leaves office this time next year, he will be pardoning many people. I wounder if Lord Black will be on that list ? Maybe thats why he sounds so cocky.

Hes got big bucks. But I really don't know if they have like each other in the past.

It was just a guess, sure Bushie will be pardoning a few hundred people and most will be rich people. Think bankers, wall street guys, white collar crime.

Well he got 6 1/2 years, so like about 5 with good time.

Him getting pardon is a wild guess, we will see 12-13 months from now. Hes got 2 things going for him, 1 he is rich, 2nd it was a white collar crime...the 3rd is if Bushie likes the guy, that I have no idea, never follow either of those guys on the news to much, Bushie I have to switch the station, I can't stand to look or hear that guy.

In return for a pardon Black will agree to write Bush's biography....but given the subject it will probably be considerably shorter than the one he just finished on Nixon :D

I just want to see him cry for his mommy. His cellmate will probably think he has a pretty mouth.

He can do his time in British jail.
I doubt he will, most likely he'll be shipped to minimum or medium security jail in the U.S.

And the rumor that he cant go to minimum security is false

So... will Conrad get fucked up the ass in jail or not??
Thug Love in that environment can be very ROUGH. Maybe, he will write a book on this experience. Better yet he can educate the masses on the nuances of white collar crime to get back at the system.

You see what his bail amount is, 21 million dollars !. He posted that in cash too-well money transfer.

Why do super rich people steal money ? Doesn't he have enough, that 21 million is just the amount he put up for bail, he has more than that, way more most likely, yet he had to steal $$ from the shareholders.

Greedy greedy.

got off lightly with 6 and 1/2 years and the $125k fine is a joke. What did the others get???
His arrogance got the better of him. He should have taken the deal from the prosecution, pay $2.1 Mill and walkaway. It was peanuts.
