For being the first team this season to beat the Sabres in regulation 4-1. The Leafs deserve to win over the sloppy Sabres tonight.
Buffalo was sleep walking for most of the game. It is unrealistic to expect too many third quarter come backs, like what they did in Boston, especially against solid teams like Toronto. Looks like Afinogenov is injured. Hope it is not something serious. They will need him and Vanek to produce this season with Dumont gone and when people like Connolly cannot play.Vov76 said:Leafs played a great game. It looked like Buffalo could win another one after they scored first but Leafs found a way to outplay Sabres in the second period and score three times. Sundin's second goal was a beauty. And what a dive by Buffalo player on Sundin penalty in the third. Looked like C. Ronaldo
Too bad Afinogenov is injured. I had a chance to talk to him last year and he's a very nice young man. Hopefully he'll be ok soon. Was it after Belak's hit ?Scenicdrive said:Buffalo was sleep walking for most of the game. Afinogenov was checked by Belak into the board sometime early first period. It was an unspecific upper body injury. Lindy Ruff said he will be out for a while. Not sure what that means. He was certainly fun to watch.Vov76 said:Too bad Afinogenov is injured. I had a chance to talk to him last year and he's a very nice young man. Hopefully he'll be ok soon. Was it after Belak's hit ?
........he should die from it.Dimitri said:stupid buffalo...with there cheap remarks at end of last year....i hope afini shoulder is damaged badly and...........
That will really wake up the slumbering Sabres, won't it???shack said:........he should die from it.
I actually do like the Sabres but I was just trying to think like Dimitri and finish his sentence for him.Scenicdrive said:That will really wake up the slumbering Sabres, won't it???
Kathleen darling, the good doc would not think his compatriot Dimitri would have such wicked thought. LOL!!! In general, Toronto has been doing well. We may see the Leafs and Sabres going to playoffs together or even play each other then. Perhaps we should go to their playoff games together. Enjoy the games and our companionship eh??? The good doc guarantees not arguing with you on which team is better, except in TERB. LOL!!!Kathleen said:Shame you needed to explain it.
Had anyone been up to date on Shack's pun, it was because in a rant, Dimitri suggested McCabe should die. Terrible seeing perfectly good humor having to be explained..lol
Sheik my friend, the good doc was referring to a dialogue with my distant cousin Plato in which he thinks all Greek kings are philosophers by nature, thus philosopher-kings. So when these Greek philosophers speak, they certainly speak as Greek kings as well. If you want further reference, go to Plato's Republic (Πολιτεία), you will see philosophers are being held in high regard. The good doc certainly wishes Plato's wisdom is eternally correct but of course, the opinions of many probably differ.Sheik said:Hey doc? Who was speaking like the greek king?
1st mistake. it can't be done. i've tried many times. he's of unique sperm.shack said:I was just trying to think like Dimitri
Very well, enjoy Plato's writing when you have time. He is very akin to Pythagoreanism on numbers and their relations, If you find the answers, perhaps you can pass on to Fred so he can keep hitting those mega lotto jackpots. LOL!!!Sheik said:πολύ ενδιαφέρων, ο πιό βεβαίως θα διαβάσω επάνω σε το το καλό έγγραφο
Unique sperm??? Will that affect Toronto Maple Leafs' playoff chances??? LOL!!!21pro said:1st mistake. it can't be done. i've tried many times. he's of unique sperm.
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Buffalo Sabres will play Carolina Hurricanes this coming Monday. Can someone tell the Sabres to stop playing with fire??? They won the last three games all via one goal in overtime. At times the sloppy Sabres seemed to let the games slip away from them but found a way to win. Against real good teams such as Carolina and Toronto, the odds will be against the Sabres, as witnessed by the only regulation loss to Toronto. The Sabres need to step up and play 60 minutes of hockey each and every game, especially when some of their regulars (Miller, Talinder, Lydman, Afinoganov, and Connolly) cannot play.21pro said:Carolina is starting to look like the real deal this year.
