As others have noted, not the greatest of games. I'd like to know what these refs are missing, dont know how you could call Roethlisberger's TD...and that "pushoff" was BS too...
I disagree. You can see from the replays that the receiver stopped the momentum of the defensive player from invading his space. The ref made a good call. A receiver should not use any type of leverage to distance himself from the defender in the pursuit of the ball.
Even the so-called holding calls were bang on. Watch the replays, and you can see that the offensive lineman got his hand up in between the arm and head of the defensive lineman.
Seattle was able to move the ball but could not finish a drive. Holmgrem/Hassleback made some questionable calls in regards to time management - This was very surprising in respect of Holmgrens coaching experience. The Seattle receiver, Jurevicious dropped a couple of balls that any "game time" player would have caught - That's what separates the men from the boys, as they say. Tough loss for the Seahawks.
Play of the game was that double reverse throw to Ward for the TD. I thought I was watching a college play there for a second.
Funny thing I noted out of this superbowl - It is hard to win it all in any league and even more so for coaches/managers to win it for different teams. Sometimes the statistics prove that firing a coach is not the answer, bringing in the right players is more important.
In the few superbowls I have watched this one was somewhat entertaining.
