All of your music files are located in a directory (folder) somewhere on your computer.

There are many ways to find where the files are, but an easy way is to do a search (click on the Start button...) and when you are in the search box: type: *.mpg This will find all mpg files. If it is only mpg files you want you can simply copy and paste all of the files.

If you have other files (e.g. Windows Media Files), then you need to go to the directory where the mpg files are located and copy and paste all the music files in the directory.

Copy and paste the files into a folder on your desktop and name the folder something like "Music".

Next you will need to zip (compress) all of these files using a program like WinZip. If you do not have it, go to www.download.com, or search for it on Google. It is free.

Once you have zipped it, then you can email it to yourself, although some email providers have a cap on the maximum size, so you may need to create several folders with fewer music files in them.

Rather than email it to yourself, I recommend that you buy a cheap USB drive so that you can carry the files with you to another computer...

The common audio mpg file uses .mp3 or .m4a file extension. Depending on the file format, the file extension would be different. Other common file extensions are .wma, .ogg, .wav, & .ape. If you are going to search for the files, you might want to search for files with these file extensions.

Gee. You'd think a handsome lad would race over to a damsel's distress call! What has happened to chivalry these days?

high chances that you'll have too many mp3 to send them by email.

Instead I'd recommend copying all the files on an usb key...

Yes, .mp3 not .mpg
Technically, it is a mpeg file, MPEG Layer 3.

Probably far too many files to e-mail. Take it to a friend, have him/her transfer to a computer and burn for you.

OH, and BTW, you have not cleared out your in box.
