Is it possible for a small investor to trade in Platinum or Palladium futures.
And if so what would be the minimum investment?

Be very careful & do your homework
There is a ton of leverage in futures
If your right you can make a boatload of $
If your wrong you will lose your capital very quickly & may even get a margin call & have to deposit cash into your account

You may consider buying commodity ETFs which are far less risky
