looking for a gift. was thinking of getting one of those model/figurines of a comic book character/action hero. the only question is which stores in toronto sell them, other than the silver snail??
names of stores/websites would be appreciated.

specifically looking for characters from dc comics not marvel.

If you have time to wait for shipping, buying on-line may be the best option.

At one time I used to know where all the comic book stores were... and then I discovered alcohol and women and never looked back. :)

There is also the Wizard @ Centerpoint Mall (Yonge and Steeles) that had a lot of collectibles. and believe it or not there's a pretty good store at Bramalea City Centre in Brampton, I think it's called Comic World.

Don't collect models or figurines (just comics) but I do have a few....Anyways, here is a few places you can try:

I was went by 1,000,000 Comix a few months ago....(on Yonge just south of Wellesley on the east side)
They have a wide selection of figurines....


There's also a place in Bloor West Village (between Runnymede and Jane) on Windermere - just a few stores South of Bloor....
Its called Toy Addict - nothing but Figurines, Models and Action Figures....


Red Nails on Jane at Jane and Bloor...They a small selection of figuriens at that store but they can order anything you want (they a have a bigger store and Jane and Wilson or they can order it from their Distributor)....

There's a comicbook store at Bathurst and Queen (south side of Queen just west of Bathurst on the second floor - about 10 buildings west)...

I think it might be 3rd Quadrant Comics - Haven't gone in but it looks pretty big....
