Yes, I do.

He's actually less popular than he used to be a few years ago. What I said in my posts in the other thread which I started on the Brand allegations..... He has five women accusing him of rape. And a number of work acquaintances saying he was creepy, entitled and sexually toxic.

Are all of those people bribed by "the Deep State" to chase down a single whiny, pose-y, nouveau-righty podcast dude???..... Think this through. Who would bribe them? Who would organize, choreograph and deploy them? Wouldn't the risk of one of them backing out and blowing the whistle make the enterprise too shaky to see through?

Isn't it far more likely that Brand actually, really is a rapist?.... I mean, rapists exist, right? They're not an invention of the fake news media?
Yes, I think it's all possible.
Having said that, I'm not saying he's innocent either, but to infer such things based on drinking and drug taking and a divorce...

And no, I don't believe Assange's charges are legit.

How is he a grifter?
It seems like the convenient way to label somebody that someone doesn't like or agree with these days.
He is into conspiracy theories and I don't believe he really believes it but spouts the nonsense and bullshit on his podcast for clicks and followers.

That article proves absolutely zero.
Three people saying he's into conspiracies, actually personal attacks like "wounded male pride", "unimaginative".
They don't cite a single case to illustrate anything, more like ideological differences, therefore he's a conspiratorial nut.
By the way, are you saying that conspiracies don't exist?

Let's try this again....

Read up on his steps to grifting and spouting bullshit and nonsense, then get back to me.

I picked this paragraph since it relates to my last post

"Perhaps Brand’s most surprising pivot yet, though, has been his shift from left-wing hero to conspiracy peddler. Where once he positioned himself as a truth-teller, these days he trades in fake news, broadcasting live from a shed in Henley to his viewers on the right-wing streaming site Rumble. His YouTube videos have shouty, alarmist titles like “Bill Gates Has Been HIDING This And It’s ALL About To Come Out” or “The FBI Have Been Harvesting Your DNA?!” He has falsely claimed that drugs like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin can be used to treat Covid, is avowedly anti-vax, and has espoused the “Great Reset” theory, which alleges that global elites are using the pandemic to usher in a new world order."

Does he believe what he's saying?

Don't you know how this game works?
Is it a coincidence that these allegations are coming out as he's exploding in popularity and influence?
If you are a cynical person, then no.

This investigation has been going on for more than a year.
Brand's shift into the right wing conspiracy world and cultivating an audience that specifically thinks that "The Deep State is out to get our brave truth speakers" seems to coincide with about that time.

So a savvy person might think that Brand knew to make this move and cultivate an audience who will believe him reflexively and defend him no matter what the accusation as long as he phrased it in terms like "Don't you know how this game works?".

I'm not reading any credible evidence against him yet so will reserve an opinion till the actual details come out.

Of course all the buzz words are being used against him in the meantime LOL....Grifter, conspiratory theorist, right winger...

He's got what 7 million followers on his YouTube channel so I doubt he's going anywhere soon.

The usual suspects are just salivating at this news.

Can I see Brand being an asshole. Absolutely. Treating women as disposable when he was exploding and using drugs. Absolutely.

Do I see Hollywood and enablers giving him the means to act the ass. Yes.

But I'm also seeing buyers remorse here. Women chasing a celeb, and being left behind.

Sorry but whenever you are choosing to go after a celebrity, whether for sex, clout, a shot at getting ring, you have to know, its a long shot. And more than likely you are just another groupie.

Wasn't this guy a self-admitted heroin addict at one point??
That will hurt his credibility.

Having said that, why are these accusations coming this late in his life?? Why didn't these women come forward earlier??
Late in whose life, yours??

Unfortunately, I'm not sure credible evidence is as required these days as it used to be.
It still matters, there were no medical records to back up the claims against Jon Ghomeshi.

What's become of Jason Segel.

As a writer for How I met Your Mother and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he must be very rich man. He tailored the role of Aldous Snow in FSM for Russell Brand, the British comic owes his career to that film. Apart from that Brand showed up on Craig Ferguson's show drunk and destroyed one of his cameras.

You're missing my point, partly because this discussion has evolved away from the original question.
Everything you just said is pure speculation, as is what I said, but at least I admit that and that he might not be innocent.
My questions are is he guilty because he drinks and gets high and is divorced from Perry...which means I'm triggered?
And what makes him a grifter...if he believes what he's saying he's not a grifter, even if he's wrong, and you really don't know if he is or not.
All I've read so far is ideological bias because I see "right wing" come up in this discussion and article.
I have a problem with turning a blind eye to justice because someone doesn't like him or agree with his viewpoints.

According to some people in here, Johnny Depp was guilty of battery and sexual abuse because he had a drinking and drug problem,
and there's no way a woman would go on that stand and lie that badly and through her teeth, and fake her own bruises, set him up in video, in front of a whole country, right?

You guys will never, and I mean never, understand what a woman goes through when she has been sexually assaulted. So you will never understand why women don’t come forward right away and to use that as an excuse to not believe women is ridiculous. Which seems to be the MO around here. Yet even then, if she reports it the day after, with bruises and all, it is “well it doesn’t mean it is who she said it is”. Some things will just never change around here.

Also - it is coming out because the papers did an investigation. These women didn’t just come out all off a sudden. One women who was raped when to the a rape crisis Center the same day it happened. She didn’t wait to do something like collect evidence and have some type of report of something. She just didn’t come out and tell y’all about her traumatic experience the day after it happened.

In my opinion NO he does not. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's too smart to believe the bullshit and nonsense he's spewing but does it for the following and $$$$$.

I will also add he believes he's God's gift to women and so I believe he did probably step over the line because he felt in his mind they would love it anyway. Just my opinion.

You're clouding the issue, actually you're going to turn this into a shit show.
Show me where anybody's made a comment about them not reporting this right away.
And you will never, and I mean never, understand what a man goes through simply having the finger pointed at him.
You will never understand how vulnerable a man is and how his life is affected, and how a lifetime of work will come crashing down simply
by an accusation, whether the accusation is false or not.
I get that women take a beating with this stuff, but either you believe in due process or you don't.

All that aside, we're not talking about that. My point is that people are willing to watch someone go down EVEN if it's not warranted,
based on whether you like the guy or disagree with him.
Like tml posted, " Guilty or not, his career is probably over or severely reduced."
And squeezer thinks that's fine as per his like emoji.

Yes, I believe asshats like Brand who spread bullshit, nonsense and disinformation to the gullible followings who run with it should be capped at the knees and not given a platform so yes, I am fine with it.

First- I posted this thread. If I want to make an alternative point then the one you are trying to make, I think I have that right. You don’t own this thread

Second - Phil said straight out about the accusations coming out now and not at the time.

Wasn't this guy a self-admitted heroin addict at one point??
That will hurt his credibility

Having said that, why are these accusations coming this late in his life?? Why didn't these women come forward earlier??
and you made implications that can be interpreted as the same.

Maybe.
Do you think the rape charges against Julian Assange were legit?
Don't you know how this game works?
Is it a coincidence that these allegations are coming out as he's exploding in popularity and influence?
So yeah - I’ll keep posting what I want in this thread - thanks.

Lol, that's nothing to brag about.
And you are the one who knows what is bullshit, nonsense, and disinformation, and who is gullible....ok.
