You press a buzzer outside, go up the stairs then wait at the door, which is securely locked.
I agree with returnofthemack, CMJ is probably most discrete. Although ALO is pretty good too, with the exception of their Bank St. location and its door literally beside the door of another business that seems to always have the door open 
But it’s not a big deal! Anyway, back to CMJ, the few moments of uneasiness you may have at the buzzer is worth the many moments of happiness you’ll experience visiting the spa!

Joining CMJ is probably one of the best moves I've made since I started hobbying many years ago. Even with all the new spas that have either opened or invested in improvements over the years, in my opinion, CMJ is still tops when it comes to customer service, well designed website, well maintained premises, good management and of course, lovely ladies. I've been to every spa in the city and can easily say that they continue to be my spa of choice, by far.

Only negative being non member is we don't get to see the overall schedule ahead of time.
And sometimes they post it late in the day on Lyla/twitter.
Brass is more organized in that aspect. More friendly to those that plan ahead.

If you ever write to CMJ with this handle putting 'not that artie' would probably go a long way :encouragement:
For me I never had any issues with CMJ or the privacy. Many have said it already, anyone who notices you standing their a few seconds will either assume you're on business or will smile knowingly at a fellow hobbyist.

for me personally, i could care less if someone is leaving or arriving when im at CMJ. I have nothing to hide.
Plus for some that are worried about privacy (which i understand) how about the parties they used to have?? lots of people chatting away in the same room and all over. never heard of any issues.
I hope that they will start having the parties again, they're a lot of fun

hahaha, thanks for the heads-up! I'm not sure why the confusion since Artie and Art Vandelay are different enough names. I suppose the people at CMJ don't get the Seinfeld reference
Back to the main topic, I also don't have an issue with privacy at CMJ, both for their West and East locations. I was at CMJ last night and had a great time!
