Pretty much I shall be a wifey with 5 bars of gold in her safety deposit box. Actually I guess it is more than that since we are going to see his our lawyer Tuesday and scrap our pre-nup. I guess that makes me a portfolio?
You let yourself be talked out of a lifetime goal within spitting distance of the finish line when you had apparently just achieved the means to accomplish it. Wouldn't have hurt you to wait until you were done seeing as you'd gone that far already. Sadly you let the winning argument be that you wouldn't make as much money achieving your dream as you would being a plaything. That makes you a number of things.

Enjoy.

That was just before the wedding, so I would not have been entitled to anything. We have both been struggling all along with making certain the other person can see clearly our intent. I insisted that we sign a very strict pre-nup because I never wanted him to think I was marrying him for money. I did not know that all the income after marriage was not covered by the pre-nup. I had no idea how much he made a year. I assumed he was spending his savings and pension. In theory I guess if we stayed together for a few years I could walk away with a wad of cash. Or if he dumped me I could.

It is not important any more since we have decided to change the dynamics and just fully accept that we should behave like most committed happily married couples.
Ok thank you for your honest reply. The pre-nup may not affect the share of family property after the union, but I believe that there are other types of agreements that contract-out the Family Law Act (subject to judicial review I suppose), except with respect to child support.

''With respect''

Is it safe to assume MrsLL has a very expensive Diamond Collar ?

Not meaning to be ignorant or rude MrsLL, but knowing LL, i am curious.

:biggrin1: and a pearl choker with 8 strands of pearls.

You know most people here will not know why you asked that?

LL did not change, he just found someone who reflected his needs.

I buy lottery tickets every week. I have never won, but if I do, I shall be very happy. Do I not deserve to win the lottery? Mrs. L won a lottery of sorts and I am very happy for them both and hope their life goes well. When someone besides myself wins a lottery, I am not bitter and think they don't deserve it. I don't see this situation as being any different.
I concur, and so do a few others. I believe it may have been other remarks that received some criticism too though.

but but but I thought he was my plaything :)

I am sorry, but goals change. If you did win the Lotto Max thing, would you really still scrimp and save to buy a little bungalow because it was your goal before?

No need to be sorry for being yourself.
I think there's a difference between the lengthy pursuit of a professional degree (presumably pursued for more than financial reasons) and a possession, such as a house. In your case you could have had both the degree (even if you didn't pursue the career) and the lotto, but you let yourself be talked out of it.
You seem pleased with your choice. Congrats, go enjoy it.

Very pleased. I have maybe ten years to enjoy adventures and life fully and without any restrictions with my husband. And except for the occasional stomach flue I shall do everything possible to jealously guard every moment. I can always go back and finish if I ever get bored or think I want to be a doctor in the future. For the next few years I will study geriatrics for selfish reasons.

A career is just an enabler for a life style. I have outgrown the life style and the rewards that my career could have provided me. I actually was having second thoughts during my oncology rotation. I do not like medicine the way it is conceived of and executed in the developed world. For now I am going to be selfish and enjoy my life and husband.

Terminator movies is a much better topic. I like the change in direction this thread as taken.

Now is there someone here who has followed the whole story line because the 4th one really screwed me up if you watch it along with the Sarah Conner TV series. It was only 2 seasons but it was good. The end I think was thrown together because it needed an ending but I am not sure. In that one, John Conner is sent forward in time and that is how he becomes the leader of the resistance in the future.

Totally messed me up.

As mentioned in an earlier post of mine.... possibly in one of the other threads about mrs LL. Questioning the reality of her so called med school situation, She's better off since she wasn't passionate about work.

The grant sounded fishy as that's for students doing reasearch. Not to mention not being able to borrow the money for med school, That her relative on a pension couldn't have cosigned a loan by say putting their house as collateral.

Here's another question or point. Why not just defer med school for a year or two to get finances in order?

Anyone notice she spends more time talking about money than love of lord loki?

And money vs goals?

All she wanted was to work to live.

I am happy that it worked out for her.

But upset at the same time because there are people who would have loved to have been in medical school for the right reasons. She took a spot from someone else that year. Possibly someone who would have seen it through and helped people not just themself.

I really liked that series, it was way too short.

I think it's her potential patients who are better off.

Her situation seems to isolate her so I think it's a win for everyone.

You admit that Mr. Loki has used TERB extensively in the past and in these threads you give very identifying facts about his private life. You do not seem very worried about him discovering your thoughts which suggests to me that either you are not very intelligent or your posts are pure fiction. Are the gold bricks that you got from him really shit bricks?
I just finished my second rotation as an intern. And took a sabbatical to go be a good wife.

I know!!!!

I don't understand why. It was good enough for TV.
I notice it happens with a lot of shows I've liked - like Firefly. I think it had a niche appeal but couldn't draw enough viewers like reality tv seems to be able to.

See, mrs loki was once there. Then she decided to do something about it and "whore" herself out and put her in a situation to hook up with a guy to take care of her. Was she fortunate that she had some assets (good looks, some charm. etc)? sure. But she did pull herself out. You make is sound like she "quit". Yeah, she "quit" her welfare situation and moved up in life. Though I guess to you, people on welfare are more respectable than prostitutes.
Like I wrote on previous posts, people on welfare/social assistance are not losers. But for a lady/ex-whore who was once in a state of poverty stating that guys who are on welfare are losers, something is not right there. And I'm not putting down the industry. If I did, I would not be a member on this site. And to answer your question as to "people on welfare are more respectable than prostitutes". It's all about the choices people make. When I see people struggling trying to make ends meet due to the fact that they are single mothers, or run away teens that are now adults. Of course people's hearts go out to them. It's only human nature to feel empathy to those who are struggling. Now for an SP who got paid more than a Bay Street lawyer complaining about how she despises her clients (from previous post) and all the bullshit drama... I can see why so many people here thinks that mrsCALoki is a crazy nut job.

So Don, if both of our financial situation decided to take a nose dive, I would choose to accept social assistance. But if you want to suck cock, than that would be your choice and I would respect you for the job that you are doing. But if you one day find a sugar daddy like mrsCALoki did and told the world that men on welfare are losers, then we would have a problem.
