I'm glad someone brought this up, I'd been toying with the idea of making a few mixed cd's myself to bring to appointments, just incase there's the opportunity and the need. Do most hotels have a cd player in the room? I've never noticed. It's just kinda lame when you're just relying on the radio and you're stuck with listening to Backstreet Boys or whatever their most recent pop-equivalent. Or that nauseating poppy/R&B crap with all kinds of "ooohooohoooooooh, girl you're everything to me, I'm gonna hold you forever, when we touch it's magic, I"m gonna love you all the time" formulaeic ca-ca. I find that stuff cheapens the mood. But of course, it's totally up to the client, and we'll hear whatever he's in the mood for. That's why I figured I might mix a bunch of different ones with different moods, one mostly soft and romantic, one mostly kinky and energetic (you know, with at least one or two Cramps songs on there, ya gotta have it), one really sexy and hot, one kinda dramatic....and they could take a look and take their pick.
But is that putting too much thought into it? Are most of you guys pretty much kinda like *shrugs shoulders* "I dunno, nice of you to do, but I really don't about the music right now....can we just get into bed?" ALso about tastes in music, mine is pretty wide, so I have a lot of stuff that I think has pretty neutral, wide appeal, but you never can tell who's gonna be turned off by what. What do y'all think?
