Please clean the ice from the roof of your cars,
Yesterday, my Dad and stepmom, were on their way home from shopping and a huge chunk of ice flew of a passing van, the ice hit my dads windsheild and the glass shattered all over the place in the inside of the vehicle, both of them are ok, just a couble of cuts. my dad was wearing a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses, which saved him from getting the glass in his eyes. the force of impact was enough to knock the hat and sunglasses off my dads head, and blew the back window out of the truck.., whats worse is no body stopped to help my dad, the two vehicles that were behind the van, did not stop. just sad!!

You would think that the ice actually hitting a passing vehicle is unlikely, so please start cleaning the ice from your vehicles,
so this does not happen to you or someone you love! I dont know if someone would get a ticket for not cleaning the ice off,
I just wanted to let everyone know how dangerous it is, to leave the ice on the roofs of vehicles..

Jasmine I have to agree with you. Over the [ast 2 days I had a couple of near misses myself. I notice that mostly it is SUV's or Minivans that have this more likely.
Peopll, don't be a lazy ass and clean your vehicle properly before venturing out on public roads.

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
Those are the type of people who REALLY piss me off. They get in their vehicle, turn on the wipers to clear the snow on the windshield, and drive away...
What about your side view and rear view? You can't see the brake lights cause they're all covered.

Midway Invader is the newest strip club in Toronto ( actually the newest in Canada). The club that most people talked about the last 2 months. Address is 6809 Invader Cr in Mississauga. Just half way between Dixie abd Tomken, and half way between Derry rd and Courtneypark. Enjoy.

So Easy

I am sure the reason most people don't is they think you need a "special tool".

Just take your snow brush and gently whack the roof. The sheet metal gives enough that the ice just falls off.

Is it just me, or were more drivers grinches this Christmas?

Making a left turn and people blow their horns for no reason.
Driving 80kmh on a very icy 407 and people tailgating and honking in the centre (not fast) lane.

Dudes, it's the season for peace on earth goodwill toward men.
Get over it. Hate to say it but women drivers are the worst for the bad attitude.

Last night - same thing - person just got in there car, used the windshield wipers and drove off. As they are about to enter onto the QEW, their entire car is covered in snow still, save for their front window. Dangerous as hell.

Hard ice and snow do alot more damage than fresh snow. Had a windshield badly cracked yrs ago from sheet of ice from a station wagon .Could see it coming but couldnt do anything .
So people please clean your vehicles completely .Only takes little bit more time but worth it for everybody

Re: first things first

The Fiberals should outlaw all season radials/make snow tires mandatory on all vehicles in winter, as a next step.
That's the law in Vienna. They don't pull you over for it, but if you're in an accident and you don't have them, you are charged, even if you're not at fault.

It already is an offense to be driving with snow/ice on your windows.

Interestingly enough, I found that it's much easier to get ice off your windows by pouring water on it. The warmer water (it's not ice afterall) heats the ice and allows you to scrape it off a lot easier. Just make sure to scrape it off immediately.

This almost happened to me twice in the last few days. Fortunately I saw the Jackasses with about of foot of snow on their roof and stayed well back. Sure enough there were sheets ripping off and crashing in front of me.

I think the problem is that normally with regular snow the wind takes care of it so people don't bother. This is still dangerous as it creates a dumping on the car behind you. The problem with this last storm we has was that it was also freezing rain. There's a good 1/2 inch of ice on top of the snow. The wind catches it and it rips off in sheets at high speeds creating quite an impact.
