No they do not any of that sort of tech is expensive and easily defeated AND end users are worried the tech may fail when/if the gun is needed

my comment was that the gun worked as it should IE you pull the trigger it fires a projectile so a suite against the gun manufacture is likely to fail as the product worked as it should

in Canada it is illegal to possess a firearm without a license restricted firearms such as handguns must be registered (since 1930's) you need a permit to transport any restricted firearms anywhere beside the registered owners address

criminals do not obey any of those laws

Yes, something like that, but it's expensive and US gun manufacturers are going to fight it tooth and nail. Also, wouldn't be effective without a complete prohibition on the manufacture and import of all other guns. Non conforming firearms already in the hands of the public would be a big, big problem...
