Start with Transport Canada..report the incident....Then comsumer reporting groups..But I would check with the car company first. Deal with the head office if nothing happens at the local delearship.
But if you want to go legal class action right away...You need to gather the class of people to do with. Class action is a representation of a group of people with the same beef. Good Luck.
Thanks for the help!
Contrary to the impression I gave everyone I am not looking to sue. I just want to know what my options are if Ford does not come through.I realize I can't take Ford on myself and was looking for help in finding out if a class action is being organized.
The car has been at the dealership since Monday and hopefully will be ready Thur.Parts were suppose to arrive today.I do appreciate the info and advice.
Do you have less than 60,000 km on the car? Another alternative, but a very tedious one, is to contact the Canadian Automobile Manufacturers Vehicle Arbitration Program. If the problem is severe enough and the car is less than 60,000 km, you might get Ford to have to buy it back.
I have had relatively good luck with Ford products an 18 year old Taurus and a 2000 Focus that has seen 160,000 km with very minor maintenance issues. My only real problem with a ford product was that a dealership that will remain nameless was not very good to me. This is the problem with most, if not all, North American car makers. The dealerships are privately owned and some don't give a hoot about customer satisfaction. If you consider the myriad number of parts and the complexity of a typical car, it is a bit of a miracle that it can run at all with a great deal of reliability. Hopefully, your dealership will do the right things for you. If not contact Ford, or demand to speak personally with the Zone rep.
