Remember, US foreign policy and many in the GOP are staunchly pro-Israel. Ted Cruz says one of the reasons why he ran for the senate was to support Israel, even though he appears clueless about the country. Why are so many conservative christians interested in protecting Israel, regardless of the horrible things they have done? Well, one point is that Israel is the only "democracy" and ally for the US. The other, they don't believe the end of days/return of Jesus can happen without a state of Israel. So they do anything to support Israel...

Now, neither Kanye nor I are medical experts. I don't make claims on things I don't know anything about. What I can tell you is the medical experts say and testified that while Floyd we high, it was not enough to kill him. But, having a police officer kneel on his neck for over nine minutes significantly contributed to his death. And, a jury of the cops peers agreed with that medical testimony. You might not like it, you might think Floyd deserved to die. But, the reality is, the cop used an unsanctioned manoeuvre and could have gotten off him much sooner than needed.

Now, the thing about Trump, in case you didn't notice, he LOVES people kissing his ass. If Venezuelan president Maduro started to praise Trump for showing being such an effective leader, I can almost guarantee that Trump could stop the boat assassination program or threaten to invade/bomb the country. Putin flatters him (or holds his leash, that is up for debate), and he bends over backwards for him, saying Putin is more truthful than his own intelligence community. And Nick and Kanye both kissed his ass and got invites to Mar-A-Lago. Can you honestly tell me that Trump has no gatekeeper that would allow or block problematic people for meeting with him? Do you think they ask Trump? Maybe Trump agrees with what they say, maybe not all of it, but enough to want to hear it from the horses mouth. Have you seen any other mainstream politician in the last 30 years breaking bread with a noted white supremacist (I should also point out, because you may not know, but the vast majority of white supremacists hate jews, catholics, asians and so forth)?

You can try and pretend that Trump is not a racist, but the evidence of what he says, how he says it and who he choses to publicly meet with sends a message. Much of it is the so-called "Dog Whistle," but he does it, and does it frequently.

Or do you think it is more likely that these guys today who support ethnically targeted mass deportations aka ethnic cleansing of immigrants hold Nazi views?
I'd go for the latter as a safe bet.

But Trudeau and his government hadn't turned Canada into a Nazi state because pandemic measures are justified and infact required.
Pandemic measures are public health measures and not authoritarian.
So the only reason they flew those flags, including the confederate flags is because they are actual Nazis.
In general, it would be crazy to claim that Nazism doesn't exist in the world today.

Protesting government measures does not require a Nazi flag that represents genocide and other crimes against humanity.
Government pandemic measures to save lives, are in no way shape or form, comparable to 1940s war torn, Germany with an ongoing genocide.
There is therefore only one reason to bring such a flag out which is to express their actual far right extremist Nazi political views.
