What can you say great games yesterday, both decided in the last minute. Today's final shouldn't be missed.

The top players are good, but seem to fly under NBA radar, yet if I'm not mistaken Steve Nash played for U Vic. a ways back.

KUDOs to TSN for showing while our National Network is off .................

This raises a question... has there ever been a CIAU basketball player (who played all of his college ball in the CIAU) to make an NBA roster? If so, who has been on the roster for the longest?

Guys like Leo Rautins, Bill Winnington, Steve Nash, Jamal Magliore and Todd McCollough all played their college ball in the US.

About 15 years ago, I remember a guy from the Canadian National Team who had a few NBA tryouts, but I believe that he spent his playing career in Europe.

Congrats to the Ravens on another championship! The games were shown on The Score not TSN.

He went to Tennessee. Here is a link to a good story on him that was in The Spectator recently. He was nominated as one of the greatest players of the century at Tenn.

Jay Triano, while never played in the NBA, went to Simon Fraser.

Great weekend - Congrats to Reavens.

Guilty as charged on both counts

Knew Nash was from West Coast and Victoria dominated the CIAU around when he was in college - just as Carleton has recently. Should have Googled to check.

and I never get my networks right.

While looking at the NCAA brackets, I could not help thinking that it would be great for Canadian College Basketball if the CIAU Champs could get a spot in the bracket. Even if they had the #65 seed...

I know that it would not happen, but it would be fun. I would definitely go see the game.

I enjoyed watching the CIAU playoffs this year.

I am too lazy to do a search. I know that Carleton plays alot of US College teams, anyone know who they played and how they fared???
