If they have drilled 2 small holes down at this point, things should be getting better as they drill more dedicated holes for waste disposal, water, air, ventilation, food,electricity, and maybe even laundry.

Reminds me of the 1972 incident where a plane, carrying a Uruguayan rugby team, crashed in the Andes. They were stranded 72 days; having heard early in their ordeal, via radio, that the search for them had been called off! There was a great book written about the incident and a movie (which I did not see).

Those guys acted with a great deal of honor and chivalry. I am in utter admiration of how they handled such a test at such a young age.

in this case I think if there is any rising tensions they will send them all some valium so they can chill out.

I don't believe NASA lended their assistance without knowing the amount of data they'd get out of this experience.......a "Real life" experience of this type of "lockdown" is being given to them for free to analyze.I'm sure they are watching these miners very careful and making alot of notes,
