Costco sells some frozen wings in a 3kg bag for about $20, and they're actually not too bad. You can just nuke-em (about 1min/per wing). Buffalo, barbeque or honey-garlic.

And, before someone asks, NO, I did NOT 3 bags of these while you were away!

Man I love living in Buffalo when it comes to food.

I want wings I can go to a hundred places with great wings.

I want great pizza or Italian I can think of 20 within 30 minutes.

Yeah, but that's about where it ends.

Pizza and wings is all well and good from time to time, however, if you want some high end fare (which Toronto has in abundance) where do you go in Buffalo?

Depends on what I want

Remember high end food does not have to carry exceptionally high prices

I'm going to be taking a female friend of mine who lives in Cheektowaga out for dinner in return for a faour she did me.

Chicken and wings are not on the menu.

Neither is Red Lobster.

Is there a very good restaurant where I can take her to thank her in Buffalo or Cheektowaga, or wherever?

I want a fantastic dinner. Budget = $200.00

This is hilarious! I've been to Buffalo and western NY many times and have always found their food 100% disgusting. Unless I'm eating at the Walden Galleria, I'm taking a zantac before and maybe after I eat.

U and the guy that likes microwaved frozen wings should get together.

I am sure many here will disagree with me but I like wings the Wheatsheaf at King and Bathurst (with a Guinness, of course). The only problem is that I am trying to cut down on unhealthy goods and I find their Sunday-Tuesdays special tempting whenever I walk by.

Salvatore's is always a great place http://www.salvatores.net/r_index.cfm

While i have not been to Russel's myself it is owned and operated by Russ Salvatore the creator of the iconic restaurant mentioned above. http://www.salvatoresgrand.com/

If you would like to try something a bit different by one of the best pubs The Irishman Pub and Eatery http://www.irishmanpub.com/

For the more common fare I recommend Mister Dee's. A classic tavern with likely the best Beef on Weck in the area. http://www.misterdees.com/

Seafood we lack in and there is no question there. But this place I am going to try next week The Crab Pot in Seattle http://www.pier57seattle.com/cptmenu.html

For a good steak at a great price I like TEXAS ROADHOUSE. Sure you can spend more on a steak but I am there for the steak not the place.

For a great dinning experience and the best prime rib in the area it would have to be Garlocks http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Garlocks.Restaurant.716-433-5595

Hope you find the time to try anyone of these and find them to be the hidden gems we see them as.

Next time you are comming to town try either Mister Dee's or the Irishman Pub and Eatery

Feel free to pm me when you come to town and I can try to refer you to good food in the area you find yourself.
