I'm over at Yordale and I notice there's extra security everywhere. Was there a shooting? Has terrorists threatened our way of life? No, Chick-Fil-a has opened up in the food court.

There's at least 30 extra security guards and cops posted at points in the mall, with no less than ten around the restaurant itself. Wtf!? It's only a goddamn chicken sandwich ffs. It offends my sensibilities that cops are dicking around with this.

That is good news. Now maybe Cheesecake Factory won't be as busy.

It's because of their religious views, they believe anything under the LGBTQ+ umbrella is offensive to God.

However, I like their chicken and will definitely keep on eating it. Every one has a right to their beliefs, and I am tired of the left agenda, probably why I'll be a customer more than anything.

Sure, nothing like a right chicken wing.

Wow, you were actually at the mall and logged into terb to vent about this?

Chik-fil-a and Cheese cake factory are both overrated....and CCF is way overpriced for what they offer.

I completely agree. I went to the Cheesecake Factory in Vegas a few years ago because people kept telling me it was amazing and I had to try it. It was perfectly mediocre. Not bad, there are certainly worse restaurants I’ve been to, but nothin special at all. Generic family restaurant fare. I’m really not sure why people go so nuts over the place. I think maybe flyover ’Murricans think that’s what fancy food is.

Tried their chicken burger. It tastes just like Wendy's but Wendy's is better and bigger. But that won't stop people from lining up for it. Just goes to show the power of branding.

There was no protesting going on. The security was just for the line up. It's surreal to me that there's more security at a Chicken Sandwich restaurant than Queen's Park.

Anyone been there? Do they use steroid-injected chickens? You know, the ones with huge chicken drumsticks and thighs.

I've eaten at Chick-fil-a in the US the odd time when travelling. It's ... OK. Nothing special. Why people would be excited about it coming to Canada I don't understand. Maybe we're just so insecure that it makes us feel good that another big American chain likes us. Personally if I want chicken I go to Popeye's - which, yes, is another American chain. If Chick-fil-a goes the way of Target in Canada I won't be upset about it.
If you want a really good crispy fried chicken. A friend took me to a Filipino fast food Jollibee at Kennedy Commons for their infamous fried chicken....it's really good and the chicken is really juicy inside...there is a line up too but it's worth it.

Jolibee is insanely popular with Filipinos. I went to the one at seafood city a while back. The food is ok but I think it’s more about having a piece of home for 99% of the customers.

I was seriously underwhelmed by Mary Brown’s chicken though. I heard so much hype about it, and when I ate my crappy KFC knockoff sandwich, well I wasn’t all that impressed.
