Although it happened in 2010 the sexual assault of Kyle Beach just the latest Blackhawk news maker .

There was the Toews/Kane incident involving a taxi driver. Then there was the Kane incident involving a woman. Actually, Kane was a news maker all by himself until his recent reformation. (Yeah, yeah, I know that Matthews also made the news harassing a security guard )

(There was a time about 3 years ago when I thought for a brief moment that the Leaf's young players could duplicate what Toews and Kane did in Chicago,or at least win one Cup.)

I hope the Chicago Black Hawks org get what's coming to them - I feel so bad for Beach and what he had to endure. I saw that interview and my heart just goes out to him - so sad.

So without me reading 107 pages can you tell me what exactly happened between the two parties here that constituted a sexual assault?
Google Chicago Blackhawks report. Summary of what is alleged is on first two pages.

Hockey's Culture Problem? I don't think that is fair to paint hockey that way...I'm not going to spend the energy to defend them...but...hockey people spend lots of time and dollars in almost every imaginable charity you could name, they probably do more positive acts than any branch of government and any religious group...

yip sad. There sure ain't no hero's in the Blackhawk organization. Not one person stepped up 10 years ago. All that may have been in the know are scum. Ruining a couple of kid's life forever. Who knows how many others?

Rick Westhead was on the Steve Dangle Podcast a while back:

I get Dangle isn't for everyone, but he isn't in his YouTube character for the pod, and this is very good summary of the whole thing, including some details.

Hockey does have a problem, the way its structured at the developmental level shuts out 80% of the population. It's waaay to expensive for the average family to afford, too many sycophants turning a profit on the program. The coaches have too much power, with the players suffering systematic abuse. The equipment has been over engineered to maximize profit. In the GTA hockey has become the fourth most popular participation sport and that's not changing.

And let's face it, the king of the sycophants, Ron McLean's, program Small Town Hockey smacks of elitism, a dismal failure. Hockey can begin to repair it's image by shitcaning him.

I think more and more families are turning to soccer and/or basketball as sports for their kids. Much less expensive.

The coaches have too much power, with the players suffering systematic abuse. The equipment has been over engineered to maximize profit. Less so now but many kids sacrifice their education to play junior hockey.

In the GTA hockey has become the fourth most popular participation sport and that's not changing.
4th, is that down from 1st or 2nd?

And let's face it, the king of the sycophants, Ron McLean's, program Small Town Hockey smacks of elitism, a dismal failure. Hockey can begin to repair it's image by shitcaning him.

Hockey is an expensive sport, no question...the unfair culture that I was referring to is the sexual abuse, it happens but it happens everywhere.
