Ever since Trump ran for POTUS in 2024 the violence started.
Two assassination attempts on Trump, and now the Charlie Kirk murder.

Now if most on the Left had strongly denounced this, I think we'd be in a better place.
But most didnt do that. And not only did they not do that, many celebrated Kirk's death, while completely denying their side had anything do with it

I'm sincerely always trying to understand Trump's appeal to so many people.

I understand he is a very rich man, is obviously charismatic, loved by a hundred million or more people.

But why is he always whining and complaining about how unfair things are for him? He says how bad the United States has become, how it is falling apart and NEEDS him, and only he can Make America Great Again? He outright says the US is a train wreck and needs to become great again?

The irony is that so many of his followers truly have suffered as a result of the system being rigged against them, having bad luck, not being born into money, having to work hard for starvation wages etc etc. But what has he actually done with his incredible power in the Executive Sharpie to help those people who truly have been victims of the system, who have been treated unfairly? All I see that he has done for the unfortunate and not so fortunate is to cut basic health care, education and increased the cost of everyday goods and groceries through his tariffs. Those tariffs don't even cover the cost of the hundreds of billions in tax cuts for the richest people in the United States.

I am sincerely interested in finding out why he has such a devout fan base. Nothing deranged about wanting to understand people.

He doesn't appeal to the bright or educated.

He gives ordinary, white, blue collar or rural Americans licence to openly hate Europeans, browns and blacks. He runs the presidency like a reality show with "enemies", weekly themes - i.e. tariffs, annexing Canada, deporting brown people under squalid and humiliating conditions, etc - and drama.

He's "all American" in a moron sort of way.

There are 70M who dig that shit.

It makes it look like its the whining and entitlement that attracts the base. Its not whether or not he would fix problems, its about targeted attacks on those they think are slighting them and ruining their lives. But they aren't bright enough to understand its the system and the billionaire elites who are screwing them over, instead they think trump, Elon and Kirk can save them and make their asses good again.
