After a couple of months to think about this I really hope she realizes how fortunate she is that no one got hurt or worse. I wonder what she would be looking at if her actions did cause an injures or death.
In that case she [probably] wouldn't have posted the video. I hope they throw the book at her as she has total disregard for other human beings.

My response was specific to TeeJay's comment:

Its a super minor case
Not like anyone was injured or anything

It appears that most on this thread are thinking along the same lines that I am. That being:

To suggest that "no harm no foul" in a situation as potentially disastrous as this is just wrong. It inevitably leads to others assuming they would also not see consequences as long as they don't maim anyone. To oagres specific points: 19 year old's are just as responsible as 29 year old's and 59 year old's. Presuming there is no criminal record (and even if that is the case) does not change the irresponsibility of the act. Ditto for her IQ level. She cooperated when her video went viral. My gig does not include determining appropriate sentencing for criminal activities but in addition to time behind bars (1 year is my two cents) I think that, as this appears to be motivated by the "look at me" social media hunger phenomenon she should be somehow directed to be talking to high school students about the potential disaster in unthinking fun gone wrong. A form of "community service" if you will. I've met some terrifically responsible young adults that give you a good feeling about the future, then you see these selfish, spoiled brats and you just wonder what happened to their parents.

Legmann - I hope I didn't let you down

Well, you don't know much about the law of sentencing. That's for sure.

The system can't afford to throw the book at every idiot who does something stupid. A) It would be criminalizing a significant part of the population who would end up going down an even darker path due to incarceration; and B) the cost of incarcerating all the idiots would mean a significant tax hike for everyone to pay for it.

There are ways to make her feel pain that don't involve incarcerating her. And last time I checked, the point of the criminal justice system was to rehabilitate offenders not cause them pain. But we all want our pound of flesh.

The current court system is geared more towards giving leniency to criminals than punishment, a movement more towards rehabilitation than responsibility for a party's actions. The court of public opinion is what it is and is often more scathing than sentencing. This lady has been expelled from her dental hygiene program Perhaps other programs and not necessarily dental hygiene may not want the notoriety or publicity of being associated with her. If she does complete the dental hygiene program, could the province of Ontario through the College of Dental Hygienist have a case for deny her a license? Most if not all of the Regulated Health Professions in Ontario request that their members disclose their criminal records. Even if she managed to get a dental hygienist license going forward would this monkey on her back discourage a dental office from hiring her?

She works or has works as a "bottle service girl" which likely has exposed her to the sex trade and illegal drugs such as cocaine or ecstasy. She seems to have been moving towards have a career in health care. Could a loss at a chance of becoming a dental hygienist push her more towards the sex trade? Maybe her legal council might argue along thes lines.

I would have given her at least 30 days in jail for her actions, for the sheer reckless disregard for human life and as a deterrent for other like minded individuals.
Word is she has crossed over into the sex trade. Have heard she is now a well paid SP. The unfortunate part is she is hanging with many toronto pimps. Alot she posts and then deletes on her Instagram page marcellacz_ ... I do hope if she is going the SP route she joins a good Toronto agency and does not stay mixed in with any pimps. I have heard she is a really nice girl that just did something stupid. At the most she will get probation. Well as long as her new friends dont get her into any more trouble.

Ahhhhh... The old reliable "word on the street." I think we need some actual proof to back up that claim. She looks the part, but I doubt that's the case...

Word on the street is that I should've bought Apple shares in 1998, and when Canopy Growth was under $1.

At the time of the chair throwing incident, she was already a "bottle service girl " a job that is often linked to the sex trade. Therefor her "cross over into the sex trade" probably already happened before her famous arrest. She does not have the look to be a top tier SP anyway, but enough of a look to pay her legal bills and possible student loans. Was the balcony where the chair was tossed from an incall?

The video is just one of many that she adds to her IG for all to see and then deletes a few hours later. All the dudes in the videos seem to look like they were all extras in a 50 Cent video.
