got a call from the tax preparation lady

she told that since taxes were not deducted from the CERB payments i know owe the CRA taxes

it is around $530 ish dollars.

I guess you get a break if you received at least 1 CERB and made less the 75,000 in 2020.

If you are still advocating for lockdowns, I encourage you to do so to the face of those parents who have lost their teenage children due to suicide as a direct result of the shutdowns and tell them that their child’s death doesn’t matter because it wasn’t listed as being due to COVID-19. Or do so to the face of the tens of thousands of others who have already lost loved ones as a direct result of these shutdown or the hundreds of thousands more who will die as long as these lockdowns endure.

I don't support the lockdown, however, my opinion doesn't matter since that aspect is out of my control. Why is everyone talking about the kids and the challenges they face? The biggest pressure is on Mother and Father to keep their jobs so the kids have a place to live and eat. If someone is going to commit suicided over a pandemic then that individual is walking into bigger problems down the road. The short time my parents were around they prepared me for life and failure. Problems start at home so pay attention parents. Its totally selfish people taking their lives while others are fighting to live another day. If I could trade my problems growing up I would of taken this pandemic over loosing my father and mother in my teens due to cancer. Its dam sobering thinking about where you're gonna live and how you will eat at that age. But poooor kids right? They are going through a tough time because they are not interacting or socializing. Truly what responsibility does have a child have besides a cell phone bill? Give me a break.

And to add more fire to this thought I was left with no cash so I was considered poor. Each working teenager who was employed was grated relief from the government. It may have been a small amount, however, I promise you its more than a widows pension of 275.00 a month my mother was receiving. When a doctor tells a patient they have 6 months to live the bank gives zero forgiveness if you have cancer. You are still expected to pay your rent or mortgage. But hey, covid is here, survival rate is 99.9 percent.....here is some money.

Lastly, again I was left with no money. I had 3,000 left after the funeral. I did it. Became a pilot. Schooling cost 120,000......paid it off in 7 years........no one felt sorry for me and no one should,....and I don't feel sorry for the kids. If this pandemic tears families apart, they were never strong to begin with. Eventually the same result would happen down the road....Covid expedited the process. Covid surfaced and families need to deal with it just like I had to deal with cancer.
