Hi guys I need advice on getting a new cell phone and provider I am currently on the mike network and its driving me crazy almost every time I make a call it says system busy even on a sunday morning and when the call goes through I get cut off alot. Is there a reliable system out there where I wont have so many problems. Your help wuould be greatly appreciated.

Bell Mobility

I've used Bell for the last 3 years and find them to be great.. no dropped calls and no reception problems (except a small area around Bay and Wellesley!)
Good Luck!

Stick with Bell Mobility or Rogers and you will be fine. Telus (Mike) is getting better but no where near the first two. Stay away from Fido, Simpro, and all those other crappy smaller companies.

RE: Cell Phone

Whatever you do, don't get a Fido. I used it once and my friends call my cell phone as my pager. No one will be able to get a hold of you unless you live in downtown. The reception is better there. The reception for Bell mobility is great but their customer service is a nightmare. I was over charge a few times on long distance calls that I did not make. It took me a long time to get my money back. I would go with Roger AT&T.

digital vs analog

I also use Rogers AT&T
I was in looking at new phones last week and the sales guy was actually laughing telling me you get better reception with analog now because everyone uses digital !
I don't know anything about cell phone systems but it sounds logical,he said 2.8 million switched over to digital freeing up alot of room on the analog system.

One Thing

Bell Mobility is switching from by the second billing to by the minute billing on August 19th so make sure if you're going to go with Bell to switch before... and double check to make sure you're going to recieve by the second billing. It's a small thing but it ads up.
Another feature they dont advertise are 1st 1,000 incoming minutes for 10.00 ( it's a really good one).
