Cell phones for Hobbying

Hey there,

A lot of SP want calls or texts to set up appointments and for when you are arriving. I don't want to use my main cell phone due to other ppl seeing the bill and #s etc. Or having someone call or text at an innappropriate time.

Can you buy prepaid "disposable" cell phones in Ontario?

I was thinking maybe at convenient stores or pharmacys?

Any info is appreciated!

bell canada has a pre-paid hobby phone called the "John-phone".

just ask for it at any bell store.

I hear it comes pre-programmed with speed dial for Mirage, Roommates, Sassy and DM, and you can add 5 independents to your own "My-5" list.

it also has a direct line to fred.

Walmart sells prepaid cell phones
Loblaws sells prepaid cell phones
Futureshop/Bestbuy sells prepaid cell phones

I'm sure there are tons of other places as well.

Basically if you can't find a prepaid cell phone there's something wrong with you..

Thanks! I am going to go check out 7 / 11 and walmart now. Just looking for something super cheap that I can just use for text messaging if anyone has any further suggestions.

Petro-can has prepaid phones at most of their stations

if you pay cash for your 7/11 phone, no one will have a record of you having a phone. And the time you prepay lasts for a year
