To me Ms. Shue is La Suprema. She has very good genes, between 1998 - 2008 she had three kids, she's in her late 50's now and I would still eat her ass. She should have won the Oscar for Best Actress in 1996 for Leaving Las Vegas, a depressing film about alcoholism and co-dependence. As much as I like Susan Sarandon, she deserved it more.

How times have changed, no way that some of the scenes from that film would be condoned today. Call girl Sera gets abused by her pimp Yuri (Julian Sands), she gets free of him when he can't pay his gambling debts to the mafia. Then she gets into a situation she could not control, she gets raped and beaten by frat boys. The scene was horrifying but the aftermath scene where she's sitting in the shower (knees to chest) with blood seeping to the drain was downright heartbreaking. I can't get that image out of my head.

She worked sparingly in the 2000's as she raised her family, she returned with Piranha 3D, a total hoot of a film and a surprise hit. She was most recently in S1 of The Boys.

I should mention that Erin Moriarty who plays Starlight in The Boys, is the niece of Cathy Moriarty. Robert De Niro is her Godfather.
