I used to watch CBC for the news on Canada and did not pay much attention to other programs contents...
May be I should. Some of my tax-dollars go to the CBC.

Recently I came across the excerpt below. I was shocked that this happening. With kids being groomed. WTF???
I am beyond angry that this is happening in this country I called home over 30 years ago.
Looks like Canada, much like the US, is going downhill much like Rome. Rotting from the inside.
It's China century.

I don't give a shit if consenting adults enjoy fucking each other. I could not care less. But grooming kids with this crap?

CBC played Air Farce and the Simpsons, not to mention "This Hour has Seven Days" and "This Hour Has 22 Minutes".

I, as a child, watched those shows. They never influenced me, no matter how flaming anyone was.

I also remember Danny LaRue, a British drag queen extraordinaire way back in the 70s and 80s. Funny as Hell and he didn't turn me intro a drag queen. Not to mention Dame Edna.

Drag has been around since Shakespeare and it isn't going away. Kids have been exposed to it for centuries with little to no ill effects.

I applaud drag queens for taking the initiative here. Children should know that there is a great amount of diversity out there. That way, they won't grow up being bitter KKK members.....with guns.....

It implies Drag Queens are human and not to be shunned.
Anything that breaks the indoctrination that drag queens or anyone questioning or playing with gender are evil and subversive elements that must be purged from the body to prevent their future existence is "grooming" children since it implies those children might not hate and fear drag queens or trans folk or anyone else subverting or questioning gender roles in the future.

Can someone please tell me how anyone is being "groomed" here? They are talking about different people and how they live. If you think kids are going to be swayed into an alternative lifestyle by this kind of discussion you're in for a hell of a shock if you see a Sunday school class or some kids at a christian youth camp.

Search for some real cases of kids being abused or preyed upon and you'll turn up thousands of cases involving youth pastors, priests and boy scout leaders before you find one involving a drag queen. If you were really outraged about the exploitation or "grooming" of kids you'd be shouting about that, but the safety of kids clearly isn't what the religious right and the OP here give a shit about. The "wellbeing of kids" smokescreen is simply an excuse to hate on someone different who's lifestyle they don't like.

Are we worried that these kids are being 'groomed" to be hockey players. Of course not. The kids meet someone they'd never meet otherwise and maybe hear about their life and struggles. It widens their world and maybe makes them a little bit more tolerant human beings.

Perhaps the OP should stop watching nonsense, religious right propaganda videos that tell him how the CBC is evil and just watch the CBC news for a change?
