Stage 2 here we come!

Some of you may not care about getting infected, but it's about the the vulnerable that could die (elderly and people with suppressed immune systems) that you could infect!

We all knew this was going to happen. One of the problems is, that when places start to re-open, at first they take all the precautions, but as time goes on, everyone falls back into old habits. You can't trust the people to self regulate. I can tell you at my work place, at first we had shorter hours of operation, only so many people allowed in the store, a whole bunch of sanitizing rules we had to follow. Now you barely know there's a pandemic going on with exception of face mask being worn and a few small other things.

I'll be shocked in we don't go back to stage 2, or even 1 for that matter as the cases will continue to climb.

Unless you subscribe to far-fetched conspiracy theories, why do you think China has come out so much better, even though it was originally ground zero? Hint: The average Chinese citizen WILL DO WHAT THE FUCK HE OR SHE IS TOLD. Disease fighting is easier that way...

CASES are irrelevant
The only reason we see more cases is we do more testing
The vast majority of people are not showing any symptoms whatsoever

Our DEATHS are way down nowhere near what they were early spring
Its time to move on and re-open

These Amigos are going to loose their shits when phases are rolled back. They are going to stomp their feet and throw tantrums, at least attempt to ;)

The main test used to diagnose coronavirus is so sensitive it could be picking up fragments of dead virus from old infections, scientists say.

Most people are infectious only for about a week, but could test positive weeks afterwards.

Researchers say this could be leading to an over-estimate of the current scale of the pandemic.

But some experts say it is uncertain how a reliable test can be produced that doesn't risk missing cases.

Prof Carl Heneghan, one of the study's authors, said instead of giving a "yes/no" result based on whether any virus is detected, tests should have a cut-off point so that very small amounts of virus do not trigger a positive result.

He believes the detection of traces of old virus could partly explain why the number of cases is rising while hospital admissions remain stable.

Yes that's exactly how it works the more testing we do the more cases we see ;) for example
Of course Canada should and would have more cases than Saudi Arabia and less cases than Australia

-------------------Canada----------------Saudi Arabia----------------Australia
Tests----------5,800,000-------------5,400,000---------------------6,700,000
Cases---------132,000----------------322,000-----------------------26,000

I am sure you're going to find the few countries that are anamolly's and point to as proof while ignoring the majority others.

Local lockdowns have been imposed because infections are deemed dangerously high, but research by experts at Oxford University suggests as many as half of the "positive" tests relied upon could actually be false. This is because the current test is so sensitive it can pick up dead and harmless viral particles that are shed once the infection has passed.

Of course he does. As well as doctors do what the party tell them to do. Just like in Russia. Because if you do not you tend to fall from 4 story window...

Yup, the genius speaks.

Same diatribe as Orangetop Trumpfart. It's obvious the Conservative Provincial government agrees with the stable geniuses as the delay openings and starting to have discussions on rolling back to stage 2.

Don't let the facts slap you on the ass!

LMAO! It's going to be a hoot in about 3 weeks when the rollbacks start. I hope they also start naming, arresting and charging hefty fines to folks that don't follow the mandates.
Ha ok! You were writing in present tense about the hypothetical future. I lost you for a second ;)

We will not go back in full confinement.

I agree it won't be a full lock down unless the unimaginable were to happen and we become a shit hole country like the US. I can however see a role back to stage 2 if cases surpass 300 and start approaching 400 a day.

It's not the amigos you need to worry about. It's your job, your SO's job, your kids future, and the overall economy and living conditions in society resulting from the shutdowns.

The economy would be far worse without shutdowns (if ever needed) and not only for my business but also for everyone else’s.
It’s definitely the Amigos that are contributing to the cases.

...
Actually it is under-sensitive. The rate of false negatives is 5-10 times higher than false positives.
