Now there is going to be a French debate in the official debates...This is just an additional one put out specifically for Quebec.

Leadership debates are scheduled for the 16th and 17th.

Carney said ''Why Not'' at first and then declined...His reason...The two leaders of the Green weren't invited.

He's also saying that during his leadership campaign he spent more time in Quebec than any other province, so no need.

Smart..He knows his French is not strong so why risk it...How will the voters in Quebec view this because Yves Blanchet isn't going to let this go away.

My first reaction was, WTF, he's not going to attend the French debate, is he stupid? But then I read deeper that this would be an extra debate, just for Quebecers.

My reaction is now, why the hell is there an extra debate just for Quebec and not the other nine provinces?

You realize I wrote that in the first line of my post to purposely clear up any confusion.

There should be an extra debate for Quebec because it is distinct society... You know the Meech Lake Accord and all.

Also, Carney's French speaking level, is much weaker then Pierre's and Blanchet's!!

That's another reason why Carney is afraid of a 2nd French debate!!
And they want 75K to participate. Why give Blanchette more opportunities to make him look bad.

Plus the party is expected to pay 75K to be able to participate. I think it's a good decision to do just the one debate.

Pierre even offered to pay Carney's $75000 fee, to enter the 2nd French debate.....LMAO

It's not only Blanchet who will make Carney look bad, it's Pierre, as well!!

Carney's French speaking ability is very weak, compard to Pierre and Blanchet!!

Carney might lose some Quebec votes, by refusing to participate in the 2nd french debate!!
Of course he would, but why, I woulda asked PP who is gonna pay me to listen to your fork on plate voice?

Yes, because Carney can barely speak French....LMAO
Wait until he`s got to get in the ring for real. He`s just started and he`s beginning to unravel, you think Trump might notice? He`s why the country is a fucking shambles, after all. Carney wants to dodge the last 10 years of disaster by the Liberals, this `ain`t gathering votes.

If this was the other way around, Liberals would be screaming at Poilievre calling him a coward.

Carney is the most protected and fragile candidate I've ever lived to see.

The problem is conservatives are too stupid to fact check.
They won't find out that this is about a second debate with a $75k fee for candidates.

They will just keep claiming he was afraid to debate.

Quebec has maple syrup, overpriced milk by market manipulation, and strippers back years ago as exports.
That's all what Quebec has to offer.

I'll give Carney some credit as a businessman he knows that.
Quebec is the second biggest Province in Canada in terms of GDP. We have mines, forest and hydroelectricity as well.

We also have a lot of water.

In fact 20% of the world's reserve of fresh water is in Canada. And Quebec is the second province with the most fresh water after the Nunavut. This, soon, will be worth more than gold.

You guys can shit on Quebec but back it up please.

'' In the 2025-26 fiscal year, Quebec is projected to receive approximately $29.3 billion in major federal transfers, including equalization payments, the Canada Health Transfer (CHT), and other transfers. ''

'' federal transfers to Ontario are estimated at $33.4 billion, representing over 22% of Ontario's total revenue. 1 This paper provides an overview of federal transfers to Ontario, their evolution over time, and proposals for reform ''

'' Ontario had a population of 14,223,942, while Quebec had a population of 8,501,833. Together, these two provinces account for over 60% of Canada's population. ''

We still don't receive much per citizen. You guys complain for nothing again. Maybe we should get rid of the provinces that receive more per capita than they should like the maritimes and I think your beloved Manitoba. how about that?

It's a tired argument. If it was the arguments you were trying to make...

If we become the 51st state there won't be any need for French debates.
It is now time for them to start getting used to it.

Trump will deport them back to France!

I'm down with throwing every maritime provences into the Atlantic. Then scooping the chum.
Lol sure! Maybe Ontario should separate. Soon with your line 5 that keeps spilling, your great lakes will be unusable. Enjoy your pipeline 😘 I keep the oysters and the lobsters.
