Show progress? What progress? All I can see is neither side wants to move on steel and autos.
The process is both sides are still talking, and the rhetoric is essentially positive. Trade deals take years to come to fruition. And in this case it's CUSMA as well being looked at ahead of time.
About 90%+ of our trade is unaffected right now. So yes it's a pain in the ass, but we can't just suddenly move Trump, can we? No one can. Trump will Trump.
But I see this as a win just because no bad headlines, and real backroom negotiating is occurring under real conditions and not on social media.
This is what happens in the real world between sovereign nations. Painstakingly detailed line by line back and forth. So be an adult and show some patience.

BTW, far more than just non-CUSMA compliant goods are being affected. Businesses are moving south. Investment is drying up. Jobs are put on hold, or let go, as companies tighten their belts.
Frankly, positive messaging means jack shit to me. Trudeau was full of positive messaging, while taking our economy down the toilet. Results are what matter, as any adult could tell you.
It really angers me to hear Trump continue to talk 'merger' and somehow think this is all OK, and no one does shit about it. I truly cannot wait for a world where Trump is gone from the picture.
