Car sitting in driveway - junker

My cousin's car is sitting in the driveway and he wants to get rid of it and hopefully make some scrap metal cash.
Anyone know of any service that comes over and hauls it away and pays whatever amount they deem fair for it?
I know there was a junkyard on North Queen but I they're gone now.

As for the make, I honestly forgot and I see the damn thing all the time. lol I THINK it's a Jeep Cherokee, I think?

We scraped my daughters car about 6 months ago, just called an add in the star for junk cars and got $200....

There won't be much money from a charity and it'll take an extra week of admin to get it happen.

I had an auto wrecker take my old car away for $250. The summer rims and rubber were still good so I sold those on line for $300.

First cut out the catalytic converter and sell that separately for $150. Then scrap the rest of the car for the standard $200-250

Depends on what the tax receipt is for and what the tax bracket of the cousin is. And of course whether the cousin wants cash in hand now or simply a bit of a tax break 6 months from now.

Their paying for the converter which is why they pay so much for junk... Leave it in... If it has aluminum rims, ask for more too, usually worth 75 a piece for scrap

Aluminum rims will not fetch that amount , 11 to 14 $ at the most each , you wont even get that price for transport rims , would like to know who buys convertors for that price at 150 $ as I have a few myself to get rid of .

If you know where to take em then yes you'll get $75 a piece for scrap aluminium rims. Most places in Mississauga pay the most, Toronto is cheap. Few places in Mississauga around Dixie 401, it's not the actual scrap yard but a place that specializes only in aluminum rims, where the scrap yards take them. If your car has em, pm me and if you're not in a hurry to get rid of the car, I'll probably be in the area sometime this week or next and pass along their name and number.

As for the converter Linds is correct, depending on the year make and model they pay accordingly. Most scrap cars these days are $150 to $200 depending on the weight of it. If it's drivable take it in yourself
