I believe I got 70 or 80 bucks for a 15 year old car from the wrecker - just remember if you go the tax receipt route you will only get 15 percent of that on your tax return.

I had a van towed a couple years ago, got $280 cash. Recently drove a car there for $350. This is Ottawa area, call around and compare. I had offers from 300-350 for the one I just got rid of, a larger car with 490,000 km.
