I have an 8 yr. old infiniti which has never caused me any problems. It now needs a new alternator. I had the battery checked and I take it to a reliable mechanic where all the taxi cabs take their cars to. How much can I expect to pay? a rough estimate please. and do I have to use an Infiniti alternator or one from the shop?
Vq35 and it's assignments to various Nissan products...it's all the same vqWRONG AGAIN,...how could a 3.5 liter motor have the same pistons and crank shaft as a 3.7 liter Infinity engine,...???
There as absolutely a huge difference in how a rear wheel drive sport sedan handles compared to mommies front driver,...!!!
So you are saying that a Lexus is just the same "crap" as a Toyota,...must be a lot of better of people out there, who are not as smart as you.
FAST
So you need two sessions soon lolSo the upshot was an alternator with a one year warranty for $220, labor at $75/hr= $135, plus taxes so roughly $400 or two sessions. lol.

You made the right decision going with a rebuild. When you say you want it to last, do you plan on keeping your car for another 8 years? Because if that's the case, you may have to work overtime to keep up with the repairs (which sounds like fun), or you may get lucky and drive trouble free.I intend to so Thank you everyone, I have decided to go to my mechanic who charges 80 for labor and have him order the oem from the dealer and install. no rebuild because I want it to last. I appreciate all of the input. m
If you can just replace the "links", or even just the bushings, leave the anti-roll bars.Question unrelated to Marla's
Dealer says i need to replace both rear sway bar links & bushings. quote $340. car's a japanese sedan. is that a good price? if im seeing the right part correctly around the back wheels i notice a coat of rust peeling off a bar.
