I second Fortress Louisberg, great place to spend a day. Hopping on one of the ferries to Newfoundland and back is a great one/two day mini cruise depend on which newfy coast you head to. Have a drink watch the ocean etc etc go as a walk on. Nova Scotia has the best internet service in Canada, so if you know where you're staying has good high speed bring you torrent list with you as well. If you drive there maybe stop in to pictou and book a deep sea fishing trip and bag a tuna, not sure about the deep sea options in CB, but prolly great! If you fly in stop in to halifax and see the citadel. Some good sailing tours as well. Great sea food all through out NS, Murphy's fish & chips in truro or Pictou is a must!

But as they say, you got to get there from here. I won't be in hurry on route and will probably hit, all if not most, of those places. Every time I tell people in other countries about the Bay of Fundy and its 55 ft tides; that's 5 stories folks, they just can't fathom it. It not like I plan to just drive around. I certainly pllan to find one or two places and just sit, walk, listen, put a line in the water, drink a few pops. I'm not one to rush around.
LOL! Good one!!:)

Check out the Alexander Graham Bell museum in Baddeck as well as seeing the natural sights.
I know of a bed and breakfast nearby, yet I haven't been out east yet. Maybe I will go this year, God willing.

Not bt the south shore Yarmouth More like early summer or late fall

The Maritime provinces are fantastic - the people are great - very welcoming. Just don't expect warm weather, even in the summer. Pack like it's spring here for a summer trip and like it's winter here for a fall or spring trip.

You have to check out Rita MacNeil's tea room, just to say you did.

It's the furthest you can get from terb.

In a living hell
As mentioned earlier, the Cabot Trail is a great drive. Take it easy going around the corners though, lots of tour buses on the Cabot, they like to take the corners wide!
