So I wanted to try out this new Escort Agency (CandyLand) Asian and TOFTT, so using the TERB PM system I sent a message.
You know what the response was?

Are you Asian, white or Indian?

I was like WTF?? So I said I’m mixed with all three!

Then she replied….

“Some girls just tell me asian only. so I have to work it out”

Just goes to show you racism is still alive and well in Toronto!

You may be a little quick to jump on the racism bandwagon. Some ethnic communities are pretty tightly knit and many of the people know each other or their families know each other.
It is a fairly common practice for girls not to want to see clients from their own ethnic community for that reason.

I'm not sure I would call it racism. Would you call it racism if you were white and you asked out a black girl and she said she only dated black men?

Some people just prefer to get involved with certain ethnicities, usually the same one as they themselves are. That's not racism in my books.

What is racism is when someone goes out of his or her way to espouse hatred for another race, and seeks to make that particular race's life worse.

Me, for example. I would not date a black woman. Or have sex with one. Black women do not appeal to me. But I will not mutter 'nigger' or something under my breath if I have to work with a black woman at work. Nor will I go on public radio, the internet, etc. to say that we should bring back segregation. I simply am not attracted to black women.

Fair.. but then they should not advertise to the general public... maybe stick to adverts in there local news paper and NOT online OR say we only cater to our own kind? (see that sounds bad)

And that balances out the playing field for the rest of us. I love slim cute girls - paint them any colour you like ! I almost throw up at the site of fat women or white trash covered in tats. Some of the great reviews about girls here when I check the photos - turns out could not physically happen because I could not get a rise from my partner with gun to my head (either one).

Booking would be pretty difficult if we all liked the same thing.

I just think if your going to advertise a service to the general public, be prepared to accept every and anyone who comes through the door!!

It’s kinda like me saying if you only want to DEAL with your own kind go back to where you came from!!! What the fcuk are you doing/ advertising in a multi cultural society???

Yes/ No?????

As was discussed in the John Maier thread ...

Technically, if you want to split hairs, then yes, it is racism. You are reducing the individual to the representative of his race.

But that being said, there's nothing you can do about it, if it involves things that are personal.

If you had attempted to buy food, or seek employment, and were denied as a result of race, then you'd have something.

Has any considered that some girls may not want to see gentlemen from their own community to avoid meeting someone who might know her?

1) Typically it is that they do NOT want to "cater to [their] own kind" because of the vastly higher risk of being "outed" in a fairly tight knit ethnic community.

2)The escort business is rather a hybrid between personal life and business life - certainly SP's are allowed to see only those people they want to see. This is not after all wholesale poultry sales.

Interesting how thay ask white, Asian or Indian only. God knows what would have happened if you were black.

Racism is when one goes out of their way to expose hatred.. I agree. Prejudice is when one judges another based on their skin colour, religion or gender. Or sees them as different and or stereotypes them based on that. I suppose you are not attracted to black women because of the colour of their skin. Or rather I would guess that is why you are not "attracted" to them or would not "have sex with one"

Racism in Toronto .. Somewhat, Prejudice.. Absolutely.

Good point HetroGuy, for me it doesn't matter, I am more into looks than skin colour but most people are not.

sometimes its not the colour of their skin...it's the "annoying" cultural persona or ways some people have about them. And it just happens that a lot of them are of the same colour.
