Pretty stiff sentence(snicker)....seriously though.It does show the courts are getting tougher with female offenders.I'm surprised with his age(17) that she got that amount but I guess they had to.

Not only was having sex with the underage male a stupid thing to do, this was really, really dumb after the fact:

Why would you gossip with other students??? Sheesh, this lady is dumb.

I saw on the news a few female teachers in the US (I think another one was from Canada) who had sex with their elementary school/high school students and these girls were smoking hot.

It WAS quiet an unwise thing to do yes, but i don't know, maybe the 17 year old was totally hot? And they DID have the hots for each other? I doubt he was a virgin, and on top of that, he would have had to be hard to to give her intercourse. I don't know, highschool girls AND boys can be absolutely stunning!

I have certainly seen attractive under 18 guys, weather i'd have sex with them is another matter, but then i'm not a private school teacher.

She got a stiff sentence because by society's standards of beauty, she's not attractive. Look at her pic - she's overweight. The attractive ones tend to get lenient penalties, and only get harsher ones if they continue to break the law repeatedly. Has anybody else noticed this about these cases?

I suspect that this sort of thing happens al the time. Look at the recent US cases that have popped up. There were even a few suspected cases of this when I was in high school, in my own school.
