Michael Te-Pei Chang (born February 22, 1972) is an American tennis player. He became the youngest male player to win a Grand Slam singles title when he won the French Open in 1989 at the age of 17 years and 4 months. He was 16 when he turned pro.

Sport is far too physically and mentally demanding than ever before. Days of teenagers winning slams are likely over. Used to be a common occurrence on both the men's and women's tours. Won't say it will NEVER happen again but the odds of a teenager winning slams now is very small relative to past eras. I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think this is the same player I immediately thought of when vixx said a teenager can't win a major nowadays.

I wonder if he turned pro at age 15 because he/his family needed the money.

Did you know that Maria Sharpova is "owned" by a corporation? Apparently, some investors financially supported all her training and coaching and now they take a cut of her earnings.

Whether they need the money or not, he still has to have the talent.
