I'm surprised nobody has started a thread for this years contest, unless there isn't enough interest yet, because we haven't got to the TOP TEN.

One complaint, is not being able to get votes in, even with a 2 hour window, and lost 2 talented girls from Quebec last week.

No comments yet on the guys, but will start with the ladies.

Nancy Silverman. Not the prettiest out there, but has a SMILE and enough ATTITUDE to be able to turn a gay guy straight. I'll definately vote for her.:D

Ashley Coulter. Hot and foxy with a good set of pipes for the size. I'll vote for her.

Eva Avila. Has the innocent look about her, similar to the Jessica Simpson from her first CD. She's one I'll vote for.

Alisha Nauth. Cute with personality, and could do well.

Sarah Loverock. Not sure about her yet, but liked her song choice this week.

Steffi Di whatever. She should have gone home last week, and butchered Dido's song this week. Looks like she's the type of girl that didn't make it on a BIG TOP talent show from years gone by.

Kati Durst. Mature, and oldest one of the group I think.

Ashley Coles. Too young to win.

Alyssa Klazek. Poor song choice, and is lucky she didn't go home last week.

As for the girls side I like Alisha Nauth, Eva Avila, and Steffi D. The guys seem to be pretty even as of right now. Too bad the two Quebecois hotties are out. Do you think our contestants are more talented then that of the States?

She's 26 and the oldest of the girls. Three of the guys are older than her. Rob James (formerly of McMaster and James) is the oldest at 28.

Last year: former member of the Moffats was a contestant
This year: former member of McMaster and James
Next year: former member of Sugar Jones or Velvet Underground?

I only real watch Canadian Idol when it gets to the portion where the audience can vote because that's where the real tallent shows up. But I think Nancy Silverman kinda of screwed herself last week. During her clip she mentioned how she was surprised that she made it this far, but the way she said it made it like she didn't really care if she was out or not.

Canadians Suck, or Idol is RIGGED

Well once again, we are going to have people who don't deserve to be on Idol, advancing because they are getting votes they don't deserve. As well the judging is suspect. The comments they have made, compared to previous years. I give up.

Steffi is at best a comedic act, and poor song choice last week and butchering a song this week is getting her advanced. What's wrong Canada? We lost 2 girls from Quebec to keep her, and lost Alisha Nauth this week who could sing circles around her. Ashley Coulter is a far better singer than Steffi, and she ended up in the bottom 4 too.

Voting is RIGGED. I tried to vote monday night, and kept dialing for Rob James, and kept getting a busy signal, yet he was one of the bottom 4. Go figure. I also had trouble tuesday night trying to get through. Ben says they had record number of votes, so my theory is that the closer you are to Toronto, the more chances you have of getting your vote counted.

Wake up Canada, or you will be left with SH^T for a winner.

Well, I don't think the voting is rigged at this point. If it were, Alisha would not have been eliminated last night. The judges wanted her in and seemed quite shocked when she was eliminated. Zack was speechless and Farley was calling for a return of the wildcard option. Tuesday night I voted for both Eva and Alisha and had no trouble at all getting through.

To me, Steffi is okay but not a serious contender. I don't see Ashley Coulter as any better. I'm not impressed at all with her. I really thought the final 2 girls would be Eva and Alisha. Now the only reason left to watch the show is Eva and if she goes I won't be interested anymore.

You are right. Eva is a sweetheart, and if she isn't voted for, the rest won't be as fun to watch. Alisha shouldn't have gone home last night. She was great 2 weeks in a row.

I thought Steffi was auditioning for a musical last week, and not trying to get to the top of Idol. This week, she was shakey singing Dido. You can call it nerves, but I haven't seen any talent in her since they ran with the 200plus eliminations.

I was using 2 phone lines with auto redial both nights, and kept getting the busy signal. I think to be fair, people should subscribe, and get to vote that way. Depending on where you live, they have admitted in the past that people aren't able to get through. Yet I feel some people are getting through hundreds of time per voting session. How do you explain Jenny Gear from season 1 getting as far as she did.

Just my $.02

Steffi is a big fan of big bands and music of the 20's and that's the style she wants to do. It's likely not a good approach if she wants to win idol. She likely won't win. I thought she was a bit shakey this week as well.

Well I wasn't watching in season 1. I've heard of Jenny but I have no clue if she was any good or how far she went. I could have voted for two hours straight Tuesday night and likely got in more than 500 votes if I had the patience or inclination to do so. No trouble at all getting through from Toronto.
