Under the guise of rising inflation grocery stores have jacked up prices so much that many families are struggling to eat, while making record profits.
They are able to fleece customers because of Trudeau. It is why he has a mass immigration policy. Grocery stores are donating big checks to the Century Initiative, lead by Trudeau and his buddy Barton. They are increasing the population to help the rich get richer. It is easier to fleece customers when you got more people which means more demand. To stop this, Trudeau has to go. Kind of like how rents have skyrocketed and expensive houses, all because of Trudeau. He belongs in prison.Under the guise of rising inflation grocery stores have jacked up prices so much that many families are struggling to eat, while making record profits.
How much influence he has on groceries is debatable. It's greedflation on the part of the Weston family. Apart from Loblaws, they own No Frills, Fortinos and 4 other bulk companies. They have been manipulating grocery prices since 2018, so far no one has been able to slow them down.
So much for Galen Weston's Jimmy Stewart image.
You seem to be fixated on peepees a lotFood prices are greedflation and it is worldwide so unless Justin has affected other countries, he is not responsible for the high cost of groceries and PEE PEE will make it worse not better
Walmart price matches too but the way these stores get around that is they only discount their brand name foods.Shop at Canadian superstore. They price match. But there will be a lot of annoyed customers behind you at checkout. Tried it a couple of times during my college days, it was nerve wracking. Haven't done it since. Best time to go is early morning or just before lunch. It's less busy.
So it is not Trudeau making grocery stores raise prices on everything???? Say it ain’t so….I have a friend who owns a produce distribution business, which sells to the major chain retailers.
I asked him directly about this.
He said they are selling for the relatively same prices since pre covid and it's the major chain retailers who are coercively gouging.
Nothing will be done about it.
Look at that class action lawsuit about price fixing on bread. What a joke.
The only way to navigate this crap is to earn more $
I'd love to blame Turdboy but in this case it's pure capitalistic corporate greed unfortunately. So it is not Trudeau making grocery stores raise prices on everything???? Say it ain’t so….
I was in Iqaluit in April of 1999 when Nunavut was officially declared a Territory. The prices in Nunavut shown in the clip are absolutely insane! $14 for a can of soup , $28 for a bag of grapes, $10 for a small can of frozen juice. How do people pay these outrageous prices!?
It will take years for the damage to be repaired. I dunno if you are old enough but remember the damage his father did. It took a decade to recover from that. Poilievre will for sure be an improvement over Trudeau but far from perfect. Unfortunately once prices go up they never go back down but we can hope the damage is lessened.its been a long time since i must confess i agree with youThings change i guess.
trudeau will not get another mandate. But the question is, will things really change?
Stopping the crazy1 million immigrants would be a good first step as we are already lacking 2 millions home in this country.
Now for food... PP won't do shit unfortunately. He is in bed with the Weston family...
Trudeau enabled corporate greed and when government makes policies that favor them it is no longer Capitalism, this is Cronyism. You forget about government greed, Trudeau constantly jacking up taxes on everything including his carbon tax.I'd love to blame Turdboy but in this case it's pure capitalistic corporate greed unfortunately.
Trudeau is enabling it with mass immigration and carbon taxes. Prices will go even higher with a railroad strike. He can force them back to work but he does not want to.So it is not Trudeau making grocery stores raise prices on everything???? Say it ain’t so….
I hear that a lot are also getting government subsidized housing.I was in Iqaluit in April of 1999 when Nunavut was officially declared a Territory.
I learned then, all residents received "Northern Living Allowance" from the government to help survive the insane prices of food/living.
Not sure if this is still the case today, but probably.
Of course because they can and nothing anyone can do about it. When you import 2 million people to the country, you grossly increase demand. Prices go up, simple law of supply and demand. Food is a necessity, even if people cut down on how much they buy, just because there are so many more people it makes up for the lower volume. The food sells so fast even at high prices.I have a friend who owns a produce distribution business, which sells to the major chain retailers.
