As a Canadian, you have to learn to just get along with people of different cultures, and with people you don't agree with.
No, I don't. Presumably they came to Canada for a better life and to leave some of this bullshit behind, not bring it here. It is not welcome here and I, for one, won't tolerate it at all.

Any religious or ethnic group that is offended by a dog are just a fricken bunch of fucktards. This is Canada. Take your fucked up hates and prejudices and go back where you fucking came from.

They should never have been allowed in Queen's Park to spew their hate toward anybody, including the dog.
Pretty hard to argue with what you said.Take your hate back home.

I am home. I was born here, my father was born here, and his father was born here.

Immigrants don't have the right to come here and impose their religion or beliefs on anyone, nor to use government property to spew hate toward any group. Keep it in your home, church, mosque, synagogue or whatever house of fairy tales you worship in, but keep it the fuck out of public view and out of public institutions.

We don't give a hoot if your grandfather was born on Mars or in Collingwood, or if your father is jewish or muslim, or hindu. You get no credits for your antecents.
The only thing that matters is if you are a canaduian citizen or not. The laws of Canada are the same for all canadian citizens.

Quite obviously not if this guy gets pushed, and pushes back, and he is the only one arrested. He had more right to be there in the park than they did, except for the moron who issued a permit for a group to spew hate on public property.

Immigrants, not Canadians, must adapt. I am tired of worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Canadian culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought a better life.

We speak mainly english and french, not Lebanese, arabic, chinese, japanese, russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

Most Canadians believe in God, I do not. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of Canadian culture.

We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why, all we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.

This is our Country, our land, and our lifestyle, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our government, our Christian beliefs, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Canadain freedom, the right to leave. If you aren't happy here, then leave. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country you wanted to come to and leave your foreign hate behind.

As a Canadian, you have a right not to be assaulted. But you do not have the right not to be offended. Perhaps you want a law to be introduced, to make it possible for people to be legally punished simply for offending Canadian citizens. Then there would have to be a list of things C.citizens find offensive -- perhaps you want the things YOU find offensive to be top of the list? See the problem?

Learn to share the world with people you disagree with. Not just disagree slightly - people you don't agree with to the point that you'd like to kill them. As a Canadian, they are the ones you have to get along with.

It seems to me that you should be directing this toward those who were offended by a dog and were the first assaulters.

I will never agree with people that want to eradicate a country from the face of the earth and I sure as shit will be offended by those that do. This country should not be allowing the immigration of people to this country who hold these beliefs and if that means excluding a large sector of the middle east, then so be it.

Your views are not compatible with the canadian charter. If you want the laws changed you should vote for someone that wants the laws changed, not expect anyone to conform to your personal views as posted on a escort review board.

Agreed.

If the guy wants to walk his dog, he should be able to walk his dog.

I'm sick and tired of culture trumping the law.

Besides, the dog is cleaner than the humans who don't like him.

because the only reason this idiot went to Queen's Park with a mastiff wrapped in the israel flag is to insult and harass a peaceful protest...so what if the guy shoved him, it wasn't his protest....if i went to an Israeli support rally with a "jews for jesus" sign. or wrapped a pig in an Israeli flag, would i get punched?...100 per cent i would.
First, he has a right to protest too. It's not harassment. Second, having a protest permit doesn't give you the right to shove someone you don't like.

you do know that these guys are condemning Israel and not Canandian Jews, right?....big diffference...what the fuck does Israel have to do with Canada?...FOr the most part, the canadian gov't has condemned Iran...so don't see your point about Canada not being Canada. They have the right to protest...end of story
Guys protesting on behalf of Israel have just as much right as the guys who organized the protest on behalf of Iran and Hezbollah.

Canadian arrested for walking his dog near Muslims
Toronto Police Services Arrest Man For Walking His Dog On Al-Quds Day (Jerusalem Day) At Queen's Park, Toronto, August 18, 2102

"I was arrested at the rally for, "offending Islam" by walking in a PUBLIC park with my dog. Apparently, Muslims do not like dogs. I was warned by a few demonstrators not to go near them. Of course I ignored them and reminded them this is Canada, not Pakistan. Well I was assaulted and returned the favor in kind.

At that point I was jumped by four COPS, dragged off and hand cuffed. Oh my the police were so angry! They said I was, "insensitive" and "inciting a riot". 30 minutes later they cut me a big deal. No charges if I left. So I left. Imagine this happening in Canada? Walking a licensed dog on a leash at the park in front of our Provincial Legislature and being arrested for that simple act!"
Dogs, Pigs and Infidels are considered to be unclean in Islam.

So we should have a protest which protests organized protests. Wait ... I'm not sure what to write on the signs.

. . If we all just conserved a little bit of energy by acting with common sense rather than spite and impatience, we might have some energy left over for better things . .

Why mention this? People who respond to calls to use common sense are not the problem. It's the people in whom spite and impatience overcome common sense who are the problem.

Muslims only started to arrive in Canada in large numbers in the past 20 years. Hence, we are inexperienced in how to treat them properly. Maybe we can look to China and India for some lessons. They have been living with Muslims for 10 million years.

India was divided into two, China has its own muslim problems, as does Russia. Muslims simply cannot co exist with others over the long term.

Muslims get super sensitive about their pride for whatever reason. There's two muslim guys at work who loves to come next our reading room and chat loudly. I got fed up one day and told them to go chat somewhere else if they are talking loudly, in a plain manner. They got offended right away start talking smack, one guy even gave me this stare of death. Funny thing is I saw one the same one later alone, he didn't even dare look me in the eye.
