Yes. In the incident a year ago, the cops were correct to arrest the provocateur. In the instance at hand, they were correct to let the prejudiced harmlessly harangue the already-converted.
In Memphis, the cops acted as the soldiers of prejudice, much as some wish they would here. The difference between being a peace officer or being a law officer, perhaps.
